Bright annealing furnace working with protective gas. When bright annealing metals, an inert gas or a reducing gas is passed through the furnace chamber. It has been shown that the annealed metal parts cover aa the edges of the stack of annealing material with a layer of oxide, and that one therefore does not obtain a uniformly bright annealing material.
The invention is based on the knowledge that the oxidation of the metal edges is due to the fact that the protective gas is impaired in its effect because it enters the furnace cold. According to the invention, the bright annealing furnace operating with protective gas is provided with a preheating device for the self-contained gas entering the furnace.
In Figs. 1 and 2, embodiments of the invention are shown.
ZD In the furnace according to FIG. 1, 13 are the heat-insulating walls which are surrounded by a metal housing 14. 15 denotes the electrical core winding of the furnace and 16 denotes the stack of annealing goods. The cover 11 is sealed in the usual way by a liquid closure 12.
C The protective gas is fed to the furnace through the pipe 18 . In order to heat the gas before it enters the furnace, a heating coil 19 is arranged on the pipeline, which of course is expediently heat-insulated. The protective gas is discharged through the pipe 17.
The pipeline 18 does not need to be led directly through the furnace wall, but, as shown in Fig. 1, it can also be laid so that it can only be installed at heated points of the oven before it flows into the oven. Fig. 2 shows an arrangement in which the gas is introduced by means of the line 18 through the lid 1.1 of the furnace. The inner wall parts of the furnace are loosely layered from the refractory bricks 20 without the use of mortar.
The guide plate 21 is attached between the derailleur 11 and the furnace chamber. It forces the gas entering through the pipe 18 to flow along the hot cover 11 and through the joints of the masonry 20 before it enters the heating room with the stack of annealing goods B> 16 reached.
The fore-v-, ärinnii-, the protection "ases em according to C t 't' Fig. 2 can be supported by adding a appropriately thermally insulated heating M-1 v #, wrapping 19 .
