Process for the representation of a colored lacquer. In Swiss patent no. 126121, a process for the preparation of a color varnish of the ethyl ester of tetraethylrhodamine, which contains the phosphoric acid residue and the molybdenum acid residue and has a bright bluish-pink shade of great brilliance and excellent authenticity, is described, which consists of a Salt of the ethyl ester of tetra, ethyl rhodamine, a compound which contains the phosphoric acid residue, and a compound
which contains the molybdenum acid residue, can act on each other.
It was found that a colored lacquer is obtained which also has a bright bluish pink shade and contains the phosphoric acid residue, the molybdic acid residue and also the tungsten acid residue, if one uses a salt of the ethyl ester of tetraethyl rhodamine, a compound that contains the phos - contains phosphoric acid residue, a compound that contains the molybdenum acid residue, a compound that contains the volframic acid residue,
can interact. The order in which the individual components take effect is arbitrary.
The acid residue contained in the salt of the dye, which serves as the starting product, is split off during the formation of the lacquer in that the remainder of the complex phosphotungstic molybdic acid takes its place. The basic components contained in the phosphoric acid, tungsten acid and molybdenum acid salts used as starting materials do not enter the end product of the process.
To produce the varnish, for example, a solution of a salt of the ethyl ester of tetraethyl rhodamine containing a suitable substrate is added solutions of sodium phosphate, ammonium molybdate and sodium tungstate individually in any order or in a mixture with one another. It is expedient to work in the presence of acid.
Instead of sodium phosphate, sodium tungstate and ammonium molybdate, other compounds containing phosphoric acid, tungstic acid and molybdic acid radicals can also be used. You can also, for example, first prepare the phosphoric acid lacquer of the salt of the ethyl ester of tetraethylrhodamine and then treat it with the molybdenum compound and the tungsten compound.
Furthermore, a compound containing the phosphoric acid residue and a compound containing the tungstic acid residue can first be combined to form a compound containing the phosphotungstic acid residue and this compound can be combined with a compound containing the molybdic acid residue Let the salt of the ethyl ester of Tetraäthylrhodamins act. In all of these cases a lacquer is obtained which is characterized by excellent lightfastness.
Example 200 parts of barite are pasted with 65 parts of sulfuric alumina (18% A10.), Dissolved in 650 parts of water, and 30 parts of calcined soda, which are dissolved in 300 parts of water, are added to the dough. The substrate formed from barite and alumina hydrate is washed out in the usual way by filling it up several times with water.
The solution of 10 parts of a salt of the ethyl ester of tetraethylrhodamine, dissolved in 1000 parts of water, is added to this substrate, and 14 parts of the dye are precipitated. phosphorwolfrazt .. acidic sodium, 1:10 dissolved in water.
The phosphotungstic acid lacquer produced in this way is converted into a considerably more light-resistant colored lacquer by treatment with 4 parts of ammonium molybdate in 40 parts of water, 1 part of sodium phosphate in 1.0 part of water, acidification with 5 parts of hydrochloric acid of 20 B6 and boiling.
Instead of. Ammonium molybdate can also use other molybdenum salts.
