Clockwork rocket regulator device for artillery projectiles. The present invention relates to a positive regulator of a rocket clockwork movement for artillery projectiles, characterized by a "duplex" escapement making it possible to give the balance-of large amplitude oscillations.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention, as well as two variant details.
Fig. 1 is a section of the device following the. line II-II of FIG 2, the casing being seen in plan; Fig. 2 is a section along the line I-I; Figs. 3 and 4 are a plan and an elevation respectively of another embodiment of "duplex" exhaust; Figs. 5 and 6 are analogous views of another embodiment.
With reference to fig. 1 and 2, the balance 10 is pivoted between two plates 11 and 12 and oscillates in a bowl 13 whose bottom 14 has a central opening for the wise pitch of the axis 15 of the balance. On this pin 15 is mounted a pinion 16 meshing with another angle pinion 17 wedged on the inner end of the pin 18 of the hairspring 19 lying on the balance.
The "duplex" escapement comprises an axis 20 .pivotated between the plate 12 and the bottom 14 of the cup 18 and on which are mounted two wheels, .which the smaller one 21, is the impulse wheel, whose teeth work with the finger 22 of a plate 23 wedged on the axis 15 of the balance 10.
The larger wheel 24 is used for rest and for clearances, the rests taking place against a small roller 25 mounted on the balance axle and the clearances taking place at the desired time by a notch 26 made in this roller and which allows the teeth of wheel 24 to pass.
The escapement works as follows: A tooth of the small wheel 21, for example tooth 27 (fig. 1), gives finger 22 of plate 23 a pulse in the direction of arrow 28. Tooth 29 of the large wheel 24 is during this movement arrived at rest against the roller 95. The balance then completes its additional arc then revis ut in the opposite direction under the action of the hairspring 19. The small notch 26 of the roller 25 takes place. then feel ahead. the tip of the tooth produces a slight jerk, and the oscillation ends, the tooth still remaining resting against the roller 25.
During the next oscillation, which again takes place in the direction indicated by arrow 28, tooth 29 penetrates into size 26 and rests against the right side thereof (position shown fig. 1), pushes the roller 25 for a short part of the oscillation then it escapes.
At this moment, tooth 30 of wheel 21, after a small drop, or empty path, joins finger 22 and gives it an impulse, which ends with a second ehiae and the arrival at rest of tooth 31 . of the, wheel 24.
In the embodiment shown a.ux fig. 3 and 4, the escapement comprises a single wheel 32, for example punched out and which has two kinds of teeth at its periphery, the shorter 33 being the impulse teeth, the longer 34 serving at rest and being curved, so that their points are in another plane due to the teeth 33. The impulses are received, as described above, by a disc 35 mounted on the axis 36 of a balance, this disc having a notch 37. The shaft 36 also carries a small roller 38 provided with a notch 39 intended to cooperate with the teeth 34.
In the embodiment shown in fi-. 5 and 6 the escapement comprises a single wheel 40 having df-s large (? - 'Ili-s radial 41 and more, small teeth 42 arranged field on its, Serbian 43. The small s teeth 42 are the ( slow impulse and work with a palf-t, te 44, embedded in a plate 45 mounted: on the axis 46 of a lancing bay.
This: axis also carries a roller 47 provided with a groove 48 intended to cooperate with the teeth 41.
In general, all embodiments of "duplex" ecliappemënt can be adapted to the device which is the object of the present invention.
Instead of carrying a roller, the axle of the balance could have an escape notch. intended to cooperate with the teeth of ecliii, l) pement used for rest.
It is understood that the hairspring and its axis could: beings arranged differently. as shown and described.
