Beispiel: 350 Gewichtsteile 2-Amino-5-acetylamino- 4-=oxydiphenylsulfon-3"-karbonsäure (darge stellt durch Kondensation von 1 Mol. Chinon- diimin mit 1 Mol. Salizylsulfinsäure und halbseitige Acetylierung der so erhaltenen 2. 5-Diamino-4'-oxydiphenylsulf on-3'-karbon- säure) werden bei etwa 40 mit der hin reichenden Menge Ammoniakwasser gelöst;

its homologues or substitution products are used,
which in the non-amidated Xnrn contain a hydroxyl and a carboxyl group ortho to one another.
Depending on the choice of coupling components, whether they are mono- or polyazo dyes, dyes are obtained in a wide variety of shades. They are suitable both for wool dyeing according to the chrome-plating process and, especially because of their good soap and chlorine fastness, for cotton printing. As a result of the external position. They show the associated group the further advantage that the chromed colors differ only slightly in color from the direct ones.
The present patent relates to a process for the production of an azo dye, which is to be licensed, which is characterized in that the diazo compound of 2-amino-5-acetylamino-4'-oxydiphenylsulfon-3'-carboxylic acid is mixed with 2-methylamino-naphthalene-7 -sulfonic acid couples.
Example: 350 parts by weight of 2-amino-5-acetylamino-4- = oxydiphenylsulphone-3 "-carboxylic acid (shown by condensation of 1 mol. Quinone diimine with 1 mol. Salicylsulphinic acid and partial acetylation of the so 2. 5-diamino-4'-oxydiphenylsulfon-3'-carbonic acid obtained are dissolved at about 40 with the sufficient amount of ammonia water;
69 parts by weight of sodium nitrite are added to the cooled solution of the ammonium salt and the mixture is slowly acidified with the necessary amount of 20% hydrochloric acid at about -i- 5 while stirring, the yellowish colored diazo compound precipitating out in a nicely crystalline form.
When the diazotization is complete, the mixture is combined at 5 with the aqueous solution of 39 parts by weight of 2-methylamino-naplitalin-7-sulfonic acid. During the coupling, which takes place fairly quickly, the mixture is blunted with a little sodium acetate solution and salted out when the reaction has ended. The dye, worked up in the usual way, is a red powder that is soluble in water with a blue-tinged red color. In an acidic bath it grows bluish red on wool; chrome plating does not change the color significantly.
The post-chromed color is very mill-, carbonizing and lightfast and not sensitive to metals. The new dye is also suitable as a paint dye (for example, as a glue paint). A clear, bluish red of good precipitability and fastness to water and light is obtained.
