Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Entwieklerfarbstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass ein wertvoller Entwicklerfarbstoff erhalten wird, wenn man tetrazotiertes Benzidin in molekularem Ver hältnis mit 2'-lMethyl-3'-amino-5'-sulfo-l-phe- nyl-5-pyrazolon-3-karbonsäure zu einem Zwi schenprodukt vereinigt und dasselbe in alka lischer Lösung mit 1-Phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyra- zolon weiterkuppelt. Der neue Farbstoff bildet ein rotbraunes Pulver, das sich in Wasser mit gelbroter, in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit blauroter Farbe löst.
Er färbt ungeheizte Baumwolle in scharlachroten Tönen, welche durch Diazotieren auf der Faser und nach folgende Entwicklung mit Betanaphtol ohne wesentliche Nuancenänder ung waschechtfixiert werden.
<I>Beispiel:</I> Zu der Tetrazodiphenyllösung aus 18,4 Tei len Benzidin lässt man bei<B>0-50</B> C die Lösung des Trinatriumsalzes von 31,3 Teilen 2'-lMethyl-3'-amino-5'-sulfo-l-phenyl-5-pyrazo- lon-3-karbonsäure zufliessen. Sobald unver änderte Tetrazoverbindung nicht mehr nach gewiesen werden kann, gibt man die Lösung von 20 Teilen kalzinierter Soda und hierauf die schwach natronalkalische Lösung von 17,4 Teilen 1-Phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolon zu.
Nach wenigen Stunden ist, die Kombination beendigt; man wärmt auf 50 C an, neutra lisiert die überschüssige Soda mit Salzsäure und salzt den Farbstoff aus.
