Electric annealing furnace. The invention relates to an elec trical annealing furnace. According to the invention, the stove top of the oven is made mobile and a bell-shaped heating hood is placed on this stove top and can be raised and lowered within the oven housing. The heating mantle can sit gas-tight on the stove top so that it can be filled with protective gas that prevents scaling during annealing.
So that when the heating hood is lifted off, the still glowing material does not come into contact with the air and thus exposed to scaling. is, a special protective hood made of thin sheet metal can be arranged over the material to be annealed within the heating hood, which is also gas-tight on the hotplate and is filled with .Schutz gas. The mobile hotplate can be formed by closely abutting platforms of wagons, which are used to transport the goods to and from the oven. The furnace housing can have an elongated, approximately tubular shape and be gebil det from a poorly heat conducting material.
In order to achieve a favorable utilization of heat, the furnace can be designed in such a way that two car trains can be guided through the furnace in opposite directions. In the middle of the furnace housing, the heating mantle can be raised and lowered so that it can be placed on the car platforms below during the annealing process. But you can use more Hejzhauben for this purpose, each covering only one car platform.
The arrangement of two opposing car trains has the advantage that in the furnace housing the car leaving the heating hood with the hot goods comes to stand next to a car with cold goods that are to be brought into the heating hood. A lively heat exchange takes place between the two parts, on the one hand. the cold product preheats, on the other hand the hot product cools down.
An example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in Fig. 1 of the drawing in vertical and horizontal longitudinal section; Fig. 2 shows a single car of Fig. 1 on a larger scale.
In Fig. 1, 2 is the furnace housing, 3 is the heating hood. The car trains 4, 5 are guided in opposite directions through the housing. Each car is loaded with a stack 6 of incandescent material over which the protective cover 7 is placed. The individual platforms 8 of the wagons are set off at their ends in a stepped manner, so that the platform of the first wagon can overlap that of the second. In this way, a closed stove top can be made from the individual platforms. The heating hood 3 is placed on the middle car 9, 10. It is provided with the eyelets 11, where it can be grasped and lifted up by a hoist omitted in the drawing.
The furnace housing 2 is closed at both ends by plates 12; in addition, partition walls 13 can be attached within the housing to achieve a favorable heat gradient.
In Fig. 2 14 are the heating resistors of the heating mantle. The heating hood has a metal jacket 15 which protrudes over the thermal insulation 16 at the lower edge. With this protruding part of the .Mantels the hood sits in the channel 17 of the wagon platform B. For the protective hood 7 is also provided a channel. To achieve a gas-tight seal, these channels can be filled with fine sand or the like. During operation, the heating hood 3 is raised periodically and the car trains 4, 5 are each moved by one car length in the opposite direction.
Another embodiment of the invention is shown in Fig. 3. It essentially corresponds to Fig. 1, but with the difference that the hotplate consists of two circular platforms. However, more such platforms can be used. At 18, the annealing material is placed on the platforms, and the heating hood is placed on all diametrically opposite points 19. The furnace housing engages with its lower parts 20 under the plat form and thereby prevents that the wheel sets of the car are heated.
To increase this effect, a similar seal can also be used between the platforms and the furnace housing as between the heating mantle and the carriage platform in Fig.?.
