Electric hotplate with pearl-insulated heating conductor The invention
relates to an electric hotplate with a pearl-insulated heating conductor, which is in itself
opposing grooves of two adjacent and interconnected
Sheet metal is laid.
In the previously known electric hotplates of this type
the grooves arranged so that a certain space between adjacent grooves
for welding or riveting remains free. This arrangement has the disadvantage
that for a given diameter of the hotplate, the heating surfaces are used by them
vacancies experience a significant impairment, since the attachment
the connection points (welding points, rivets) required area for the useful
Use as a directly heated surface is lost. As a result, stands for the
Only a certain fraction of the total hotplate surface is accommodated for the heating conductor
available and the heating conductor is therefore on a certain part of the area
crowded together, resulting in a barely permissible, depending on the level of performance
or even an inadmissible increase in the specific load on the heatsealing band
can lead. This disadvantage is now with an electric hot plate with pearl insulated
Heating conductor in. Opposite grooves of two adjacent and
interconnected sheet metal plates is laid, thereby eliminated that according to the
Invention for receiving the heating conductor two immediately adjacent
Turns of the groove, which runs in the manner of a spiral, in the form of a double turn
are provided and that the connection points (welding points, rivets) of both plates
between the turns lying at a greater distance from one another than the individual turns
the double turn are arranged. This means that the existing
Plate surface improved and with it the specific load on the heatsealing band
reduced or accommodated more wire with the same specific load
and the power consumption is increased.
Luftpolsters bildet. Dadurch wird die seitliche Wärmeabstrahlung vermindert. So that the additional heat losses when due to this groove arrangement
achievable increase in power consumption is to remain as low as possible
Groove of the lower sheet metal plate designed so that it is insulated with the pearl
Radiator only in point contact
stands. This is because of this
achieves that the cross-section of the groove pressed into the lower sheet metal plate one
has a larger radius of curvature than the insulating pieces of the pearl-insulated heating conductor:
For the same purpose is the top sheet metal: plate with a pot-like downward
drawn edge provided, which is at the same time the outer boundary of a ring-like
Air cushion forms. This reduces the lateral heat radiation.
angeordnet. In order to reduce the heat radiation downwards, are below
the lower sheet metal plate provided with grooves, multilayered closed air cushions
arranged.
To increase the strength of the upper sheet metal plate against warping
During the heating process, a stiffening bead is arranged at the edge.
An example embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing
in Fig. i in cross section and in Fig. a in plan view.

a catchy spiral extending groove b is a disk-shaped, with a shallow one
Groove e provided sheet metal plate d inserted in such a way that the shallow groove c the pearl insulation
of the heating conductor e inserted in the groove b only touches point-like. To secure
the two sheet metal bodies a and d at the points f, / 'between
and next to the double turns, welded or riveted together. nt, n and
o are heating conductor connections for separate heating of the middle and outer plate zone.
A circumferential bead g on the edge of the outer sheet metal body is used for further stiffening
