Exhaust for watch movement. We know that in clockwork movements with lever escapements, the movements which are subjected to the watch or to the device fitted with it can impart to the balance a greater amplitude of oscillation resulting in , in ordinary mechanisms, by an acceleration of the rate which distorts the exactitude of the indications of time supplied by the hands.
The present invention relates to an anchor escapement for a clockwork movement, intended to mitigate the drawbacks which result from an abnormal amplitude of the stroke of the balance. The intended effect is obtained by an improved construction of the chette oven. In known lever escapements, the prongs of the fork form with the latter a rigid part.
The escapement according to the invention, on the other hand, is characterized by the fact that the prongs of the fork are movable, each of them being pivotally mounted on the body of the fork so as to constitute a lever (see first kind and being normally held against a common stop provided on the body of the oven chette between the arms of these levers closest to the axis of oscillation of the anchor by means of a leaf spring fixed to the anchor and the free end of which rests on the exterior side of said arm.
One embodiment of the invention is illustrated, by way of example, by the accompanying drawing. Referring to this, 1 represents the escape wheel, 2 the mobile anchor around its pivot 3, while 4 and 5 indicate the terminals limiting the travel of the anchor and 6 and 7 the mobile prongs of the fork, these forks being pivotally mounted at 8 and 9 on the body of the fork, so as to each constitute a lever of the first kind.
The two mobile prongs are symmetrical; their ends acting on the ellipse integral with the plate and the balance, the axis of which is under the action of the spiral spring, are rounded as indicated in the drawing.
We see at 12 a screw or peg integral with the body of the fork and serving as a stop against which leaf springs 10 and 11 fixed on either side on the transverse branches of the anchor tend normally to hold the levers. 6 and 7. This construction therefore allows the arms of said levers which act on the ellipse to oscillate inwardly against the action of the springs 10-1l as indicated in FIG. 2. All the parts used in the construction are antimagnetic.
