Forme extensible et contractable pour cordonniers. La présente invention est relative à une forme extensible et contractable pour cor donniers, c'est-à-dire une forme du type pouvant s'allonger et se raccourcir pour per mettre commodément de les introduire dans les chaussures faites sur ces formes, au de les en retirer, afin d'économiser du temps et du travail, ainsi que de réduire. les mal façons dans les opérations de fabrication des chaussures.
Suivant l'invention, la forme comprend une pièce antérieure, une pièce de talon mo bile longitudinalement, de façon à pouvoir être approchée ou éloignée de ladite pièce antérieure, une pièce intermédiaire déta chable pouvant se placer entre la pièce an térieure et la, pièce de talon, et des dispo sitifs permettant un mouvement - limité de rotation de la pièce de talon quand celle-ci est amenée dans la position d'allongement ou de raccourcissement.
La forme peut être munie d'une pla quette de liaison à articulation, fixée sur la pièce antérieure et s'étendant vers l'arrière en saillie sur cette pièce, l'extrémité arrière de cette plaquette étant pourvue d'une fente et pouvant glisser dans un évidement de la pièce de talon, tandis qu'un goujon traverse cette dernière et passe par la fente de la plaquette, et que la pièce intermédiaire est pourvue d'une fente de guidage lui permet tant de s'ajuster sur ladite plaquette.
La pièce intermédiaire détachable peut être constituée par une tige en forme de coin portant à son extrémité inférieure des sail lies de sens opposés, qui peuvent s'appliquer intimement contre la face inférieure des pièces antérieure et de talon de la forme.
Au dessin annexé, donné à titre d'eiem- ple, sont représentées quelques formes d'exé- cution de l'objet de l'invention.

En se référant aux fig. 1 à. 4, on voit. que la forme comprend une pièce antérieure 2, une pièce de talon 3 et une pièce inter médiaire détachable 4.- Un ,évidement vertical 5 est formé au milieu de la partie arrière de la pièce antérieure, et est destiné à rece voir l'extrémité avant d'une plaquette de liaison à articulation 6, cette plaquette étant fixée rigidement à ladite pièce antérieure au moyen de rivets 7.
La pièce de talon 3 pourvue d'une pla que métallique 8 destinée à empêcher les détériorations par les clous lors des opéra tions Île talonnage, présente un évidement 9 destiné à recevoir librement l'extrémité ar rière de la plaquette de liaison 6, dans la quelle on a pratiqué une fente longitudinale 10 à bords convergents. Un goujon d'arti culation 11 passe transversalement au tra verse de la pièce de talon et de ladite fente.
Ce dispositif de liaison permet à la pièce de talon, après détachement de la partie inter médiaire 4, d'être rapprochée ou éloignée de la pièce antérieure 2, en glissant sur ladite plaquette de liaison, l'amplitude du déplace ment longitudinal permis dans chaque sens étant déterminée par la longueur de la fente 10.
Le goujon 11, en passant librement par la fente à bords convergents 10, permet aussi une liaison articulée entre la pièce de talon 3 et. la plaquette de liaison 6. La pièce in termédiaire en forme de coin 4 ayant été enlevée, ledit goujon se trouve, avant tout déplacement, ü, l'extrémité arrière élargie de la fente, de sorte que la pièce de talon 3 peut alors être facilement rapprochée de la pièce antérieure 2.
Lorsque le goujon s'approche (le l'extrémité avant, plus étroite, de la fente, on peut donner à ladite pièce de talon un léger mouvement de rotation (dont l'ampli tude est déterminée par la profondeur de l'évidement 9 et la largeur de l'extrémité élargie de la plaquette de liaison 6), ce mou vement de rotation facilitant l'enlèvement de la forme contractée hors de la chaussure.
La mise en place de la pièce intermédiaire imprime à la pièce<B>de</B> talon 3 un glissement vers l'arrière sur la plaquette de liaison 6, ce qui produit le déplacement du goujon 11 vers l'extrémité élargie de la fente 10. La pièce de talon peut ainsi recevoir un léger mouvement de rotation en sens inverse, afin d'amener les pièces assemblées dans leur po sition relative correcte quand les bords su périeur et inférieur de l'extrémité arrière de la plaquette de liaison viennent respective ment porter contre la plaque métallique 8 et le fond de l'évidement 9 (fig. 2).
La pièce intermédiaire détachable 4 de la forme, présente sensiblement la forme d'un <B>T</B> renversé; elle comprend une tige en forme de coin portant, à son extrémité inférieure, deux saillies horizontales, et une plaque mé tallique 12a de renforcement. L'extrémité supérieure de la tige en forme de coin est pourvue d'une fente 14, permettant à cette tige de s'assembler sans jeu sur la partie de la plaquette de liaison 6, qui se trouve entre les faces opposées des pièces antérieure et de talon 2 et 3. Cette plaquette de liaison, en s'ajustant dans ladite fente, empêche tout déplacement latéral de la pièce intermédiaire quand la forme, dans l'état allongé, est sou mise à des efforts pendant le travail.
Les faces intérieures des saillies 12 et 13 de la pièce intermédiaire en forme de T, sont con formées de façon à venir s'appliquer intime ment contre les pièces antérieure et de talon 2 et 3 respectivement.
Un écrou 15 est disposé dans un trou formé dans la semelle de la pièce antérieure 2, et un bouchon 16 est enfoncé à, force dans ce trou. Des trous alignés 17 et 18 sont per cés au travers de ladite pièce antérieure et de la saillie horizontale 12 de la pièec inter médiaire 4; ils servent à recevoir une longue vis .19, munie à son extrémité externe d'une tête à. oreille 20 portant contre une rondelle -métallique 21 logée dans ladite saillie 12.
Quand la vis est vissée dans l'écrou fixe 15, les pièces constitutives -dé là formé, celle-éi étant dans l'état allongé, sont solidement verrouillëes -ensemble, tout en permettant l'ènlèvement' aisé de la partie intermédiaire 4 lorsqu'on veut éontracter .la forme pour la sortir dela chaussure.
La pièce de talon 3 est pourvue d'un trou 22 garni de métal et pouvant s'aligner avec un trou 23 percé dans la. saillie hori zontale arrière 13 de la pièce intermédiaire détachable 4, pour recevoir la broche de sup port usuelle employée dans les opérations du formage.
Le fait de munir une forme en plusieurs parties d'une pièce intermédiaire en forme de coin- et -pourvue de saillies opposées qui peuvent s'appliquer intimement contre les faces des pièces antérieure et de talon et qui sont renforcées par une plaque métallique comme il est dit plus haut, assure à ladite pièce intermédiaire et à la forme à l'état al longé la force nécessaire pour résister aux efforts développés pendant les opérations de la fabrication des chaussures.
Les angles de jonction 24 peuvent être à arêtes vives, ou être convenablement arrondis pour em pêcher les ruptures des pièces de la forme, quand on s'en sert plus ou moins brutale ment.
,Suivant la variante représentée aux fig. 5, 6 et 7, la pièce intermédiaire 4 est en forme de queue d'aronde. Ses faces opposées 25 et 26 ont sensiblement la forme d'un V pouvant s'appliquer sur les extrémités 27 et 28, de forme correspondante, de la pièce antérieure et de la pièce de talon, ce qui as sure automatiquement l'alignement correct de ces dernières pièces. La vis 19 peut être passée auj travers des trois pièces de la forme pour se visser. dans un, écrou 15 logé dans la .pièce de talon 3, afin de verrouiller solide ment ensemble les pièces de la forme dans son état allongé.
La tête 20 de la vis 19 peut, afin d'empêcher sa mauvaise mise en .place, s'appliquer dans un évidement 29 for mé dans la partie de la pièce antérieure 2 qui correspond au cou-de-pied.
La fig. 8 montre une forme destinée sur tout à la fabrication des chaussures d'en fants. Ses pièces, une fois assemblées, sont retenues contre tout mouvement individuel, par des goujons coniques 31 -qui sont portés par les saillies horizontales 12 et 13 de la pièce intermédiaire 4 et qui s'ajustent dans des trous coniques 32 des pièces -antérieure et de -talon 2 et 3.
La face supérieure du bloc de formage 33 (fig. 9) est courbée en 34 et 35 pour re= cevoir .la partie de la semelle et la partie intermédiaire d'une bottine ou d'une chaus sure en cours de fabrication, et comprend une-partie droite 36 pour supporter 1'extré- mité correspondant au talon.
Avant que le talon ne soit fixé, la chaussure n'a pas en core la force suffisante pour résister aux grands et brusques efforts qui se produisent lorsqu'on arrange la forme à l'intérieur de la chaussure; le bloc de formage, en suppor tant la bottine ou la chaussure, comme il est décrit ci-dessus, permet d'allonger la forme à l'aide de la partie en forme de coin de la pièce intermédiaire -4, sans provoquer aucune détérioration.

The present invention relates to an extensible and contractable form for cor doniers, that is to say a form of the type which can elongate and be shortened in order to allow them to be conveniently inserted into shoes made on these forms, at the expense of remove them, in order to save time and labor, as well as reduce. the wrong ways in shoe manufacturing operations.
According to the invention, the form comprises a front piece, a movable heel piece longitudinally, so as to be able to be approached or moved away from said front piece, a detachable intermediate piece being able to be placed between the front piece and the piece. heel, and devices allowing a movement - limited rotation of the heel piece when the latter is brought into the lengthening or shortening position.
The form can be provided with a hinged connecting plate, fixed to the front part and extending rearwardly projecting on this part, the rear end of this plate being provided with a slot and being able to slide. in a recess of the heel piece, while a stud passes through the latter and passes through the slot of the plate, and the intermediate piece is provided with a guide slot so that it can fit on said plate.
The detachable intermediate piece may be constituted by a wedge-shaped rod carrying at its lower end ribs in opposite directions, which can be applied intimately against the underside of the anterior and heel pieces of the form.
In the accompanying drawing, given as an example, are shown some embodiments of the object of the invention.

Referring to Figs. 1 to. 4, we see. that the form comprises a front piece 2, a heel piece 3 and a detachable midsole piece 4. A vertical recess 5 is formed in the middle of the rear part of the front piece, and is intended to receive the end front of a hinged connecting plate 6, this plate being rigidly fixed to said front part by means of rivets 7.
The heel piece 3 provided with a metal plate 8 intended to prevent damage by nails during tailgating operations, has a recess 9 intended to freely receive the rear end of the connecting plate 6, in the which has been made a longitudinal slot 10 with converging edges. An articulation pin 11 passes transversely through the heel piece and said slot.
This connecting device allows the heel piece, after detachment from the intermediate part 4, to be moved closer to or away from the front piece 2, by sliding on said connecting plate, the amplitude of the longitudinal displacement allowed in each direction being determined by the length of the slot 10.
The stud 11, passing freely through the slot with converging edges 10, also allows an articulated connection between the heel piece 3 and. the connecting plate 6. The intermediate wedge-shaped piece 4 having been removed, said stud is located, before any movement, ü, the widened rear end of the slot, so that the heel piece 3 can then be easily brought closer to the anterior part 2.
As the stud approaches (the narrower front end of the slot, said heel piece can be given a slight rotational movement (the amplitude of which is determined by the depth of the recess 9 and the width of the widened end of the connecting plate 6), this rotational movement facilitating the removal of the contracted shape from the boot.
The placement of the intermediate piece causes the <B> of </B> heel piece 3 to slide backwards on the connecting plate 6, which causes the displacement of the stud 11 towards the widened end of the slot 10. The heel piece can thus receive a slight movement of rotation in the opposite direction, in order to bring the assembled pieces into their correct relative position when the upper and lower edges of the rear end of the connecting plate come. respectively bear against the metal plate 8 and the bottom of the recess 9 (fig. 2).
The detachable intermediate piece 4 of the form has substantially the shape of an inverted <B> T </B>; it comprises a wedge-shaped rod carrying, at its lower end, two horizontal projections, and a metallic reinforcing plate 12a. The upper end of the wedge-shaped rod is provided with a slot 14, allowing this rod to fit without play on the part of the connecting plate 6, which lies between the opposite faces of the anterior parts and of heel 2 and 3. This connecting plate, by fitting into said slot, prevents any lateral displacement of the intermediate piece when the form, in the elongated state, is subjected to stress during work.
The inner faces of the projections 12 and 13 of the T-shaped intermediate piece are shaped so as to come to rest intimately against the front and heel pieces 2 and 3 respectively.
A nut 15 is disposed in a hole formed in the sole of the front piece 2, and a plug 16 is forced into this hole. Aligned holes 17 and 18 are drilled through said anterior part and the horizontal projection 12 of the intermediate part 4; they are used to receive a long screw .19, provided at its external end with a head to. ear 20 bearing against a -metallic washer 21 housed in said projection 12.
When the screw is screwed into the fixed nut 15, the component parts there-formed, the latter being in the elongated state, are securely locked together, while allowing the easy removal of the intermediate part 4 when 'we want to contract the shape to get it out of the shoe.
The heel piece 3 is provided with a hole 22 lined with metal and able to align with a hole 23 drilled in the. rear horizontal projection 13 of the detachable intermediate part 4, to receive the usual support pin used in forming operations.
Providing a form in several parts with an intermediate piece in the form of a wedge and -provided with opposing projections which can be applied intimately against the faces of the anterior and heel pieces and which are reinforced by a metal plate as it is said above, provides said intermediate piece and the shape in the elongated state the force necessary to withstand the forces developed during the operations of the manufacture of shoes.
The junction angles 24 can be sharp edges, or be suitably rounded to prevent breakage of the parts of the form, when used more or less abruptly.
, According to the variant shown in FIGS. 5, 6 and 7, the intermediate piece 4 is in the form of a dovetail. Its opposite faces 25 and 26 have substantially the shape of a V which can be applied to the ends 27 and 28, of corresponding shape, of the front piece and of the heel piece, which automatically ensures the correct alignment of these last pieces. The screw 19 can be passed through the three pieces of the form to screw. in a nut 15 housed in the heel piece 3, in order to securely lock the pieces of the form together in its elongated state.
The head 20 of the screw 19 can, in order to prevent it from being put into place incorrectly, be applied in a recess 29 formed in the part of the front piece 2 which corresponds to the instep.
Fig. 8 shows a form intended primarily for the manufacture of children's shoes. Its parts, once assembled, are retained against any individual movement, by conical studs 31 -which are carried by the horizontal projections 12 and 13 of the intermediate part 4 and which fit into the conical holes 32 of the former and of -talon 2 and 3.
The upper face of the forming block 33 (fig. 9) is curved at 34 and 35 to receive the part of the sole and the middle part of a boot or shoe sure during manufacture, and comprises a straight portion 36 to support the end corresponding to the heel.
Before the heel is fixed, the shoe still does not have sufficient strength to withstand the great and sudden forces which occur when arranging the form inside the shoe; the forming block, supporting the boot or the shoe, as described above, allows the form to be lengthened using the wedge-shaped part of the intermediate piece -4, without causing any damage .
