Definitions
- the invention relates to roller skates and more particularly to roller skates with in-line wheels, in particular those intended for producing acrobatic figures known as "aggressive" skids and which are designed to receive independent sports shoes.
- One of the figures commonly performed with these pads is to perform a transverse slide using the central area of the pad as a gliding surface.
- the present invention also aims to allow the same user to use different sports shoes in the same pad "aggressive" while allowing him to maintain the same relative positioning adjustment between his heel and the transverse arch.
- the present invention also aims to improve the comfort and protection of the user during the practice of aggressive skating.
- the present invention also aims to improve the lateral behavior of the heel of the user in an independent shoe shoe.
- the present invention also aims to improve the lateral stability of the adjustable elements in length of the pad.
- a shoe for receiving the shoe of a user which shoe having a sole and a heel area
- shoe comprising: a base 4 for supporting said shoe, which base comprising a lateral flange 7 and a medial flange 8, each of said flanges extending vertically upwards and comprising a longitudinal groove 10 formed in the internal face of said flange; a rear quarter 11 slidable on the base 4 and intended to surround the heel area of said shoe, which rear quarter comprising a base 12, said base having on each of its lateral and medial sides, a sidewalk 20; of the fixing means 25 allow the fixing of the rear quarter 11 on the base 4 in different positions; in the pad according to the invention said flanges, medial and lateral, frame the base 12 of said rear quarter 11; and said sidewalks 20 slide in said grooves 10.
- the pad according to the invention is suitable for receiving an independent sports boot, that is to say not specifically designed for said pad.
- the type of sole of this shoe that is to say for example a largely overflowing sole or a re-entrant sole, the user can adjust the position of the hindquarter relative to the central arch.
- a same base of the shoe according to the invention can be used by people with different sizes.
- the rear quarter adjustable in length comprises two sidewalks projecting from the widest width of the lower part of said rear quarter. These sidewalks are maintained inside grooves in the vertical edges of the base which has the effect of optimizing the lateral and longitudinal behavior of the rear quarter on the base.
- the figure 1 represents a perspective view of the roller skate according to the invention. It comprises a frame 1 for fixing the wheels 2.
- the frame 1 has a substantially longitudinal structure at both ends of which are fixed two wheels 2a, 2b.
- the choice of a two-wheeled chassis is not limiting and one can consider using a chassis with three, four or more wheels whether they are arranged in line or not.
- the frame 1 has the shape of an arch 3 whose concavity is oriented downwards. This arch is used as a gliding surface for cross slides. Due to its amplitude, between the two wheels and its large radius of curvature, this arch allows sliding in multiple directions.
- a base 4 is fixed to the frame by means of two screws placed in the median plane of the frame and spaced from each other by a distance of 167 mm.
- the upper surface of the frame 1 on which the base 4 comprises two recesses 24.

- one will choose a material whose sliding properties are better than those of the materials used for the base and / or the frame.
- the base 4 represented in perspective at the figure 2 includes two vertical edges.
- the medial rim 8 is derived from the lateral side of the base 4 over the entire length thereof.
- the central portion of the medial flange 8 is higher than the ends and comprises on its inner face support means 34 in the form of stiffening ribs and on its outer surface a concave medial gliding surface 30 which can be used as a surface of slides in the extension of the arch of the chassis.
- the support means 34 may take a form other than that of stiffening rib such as for example that of a thickening or a convex arch protruding inwardly from the base and incidentally providing support for the arch of the arch plantar.
- a longitudinal rib 9 is formed at the bottom of its inner face. This rib 9 is parallel to the base so that a groove 10 is thus defined between the rib and the bottom of the base.
- the front portion of the lateral flange 7 is equipped with attachment means 27 for hooking the front fastening means of the boot on the pad.
- the lateral rim 7 is similar to the medial rim 8 with support means placed in the central part thereof, behind a concave lateral sliding surface 31. It also comprises a longitudinal rib defining a groove.
- the concave side sliding surface 31 formed on its outer face is substantially less hollow than that provided on the lateral rim.
- the central zone of the lateral rim, respectively of the medial rim has a greater elevation than the front and rear areas thereof.
- the front and rear sliding shoes include vertical lifts that cover the front and rear portions of the lateral and medial edges. Thus they promote longitudinal sliding not only against surfaces on which is pressed the lower surface of the base, but also along the vertical edges.
- the figure 4 shows the section of the rear sliding shoe 6 and vertical lifts 32 which cover the lateral and medial edges of the base 4.
- the sliding shoes 5, 6 further comprise a chamfered surface 33 at the edge separating their surface Horizontal sliding of the sliding surfaces substantially vertical.
- This chamfered surface 33 is present on each of the front and rear hooves and on each of the lateral and medial sides, and it defines new sliding planes which make with the usual horizontal sliding planes an angle of between 30 ° and 60 °.
- the rear quarter 11 comprises a base 12 placed on the rear part of the base 4. From this base are derived a lateral upright 13 and a medial upright 14. These amounts are used for anchoring on both sides of the fastening means instep of the shoe in the skate. Behind these uprights 13 and 14, the rear quarter has a wide opening 26. This wide opening 26 facilitates the establishment of independent shoes in the skate without the possible overhangs of the sole or buttress heel of the latter prevent optimal positioning of the user's foot and lower leg. Above these uprights 13, 14, the rear quarter is extended into a sleeve 15 for wrapping and maintaining the lower leg of the user. The cuff 15 covers the lateral, medial and anterior sides of the lower leg, while the posterior face is held by the upper part of the strap / tongue.
- the strap / tongue 16 consists of a lower part, the strap 17, which has the function of distributing the constraints of the clamp-ins foot. It is connected to the medial upright 14 via an adjustable strap (not visible on the figure 1 ) and the lateral amount 13 by means of a toothed strap for clamping at will through a ratchet mechanism 18.
- the upper part of the strap / tongue 16, is a tongue 19 whose rigid member is connected to the armature of the strap 17.
- the base 12 of the rear quarter 11 is provided on each of its lateral and medial lateral faces longitudinal sidewalks 20 provided for sliding inside the grooves 10.
- the sidewalks protrude outwards from the base to the level where it is the widest.
- the lateral holding of the base 12 on the base is optimized and therefore, the inclinations on the sides of the lower leg of the user do not risk to take off the edges of the hindquarter.
- the bending resistance towards the front or rear of the base 12 is also optimized by the longitudinal extension of the sidewalks 20.
- the figure 4 shows a partial sectional view of a pad according to the invention.
- the base 12 of the rear quarter 11 is maintained in the base 4 by the sidewalks 20, which are slidable in the grooves 10 formed in the edges of the base.
- a slot 21 passes through the bottom of the base 12 of the rear quarter 11. This slot 21 receives a washer nut 22. The nut washer can slide in the slot but is locked in rotation.
- the rear shoe envelops most of the rear portion of the base and it is from the shoe that is made the boss 23 for cooperating with the recess 24 formed in the upper surface of the frame. It is also in the rear shoe is made a portion of the groove whose edges are in contact with the upper flanks of the frame.
- Adjusting the rear quarter to the desired position is achieved by simply unscrewing the screw 25, then by sliding the rear quarter and finally by tightening the screw.
- Means for locating the relative positions of the rear quarter and the base are provided on one of the vertical edges and on the base of the rear quarter.
- the rear screw 25 which fixes the frame on the base according to the UFS standard also serves to block the translation of the rear quarter.
- a damping shim 28 adaptable. It comprises a horizontal portion of a thickness between 5 and 30 mm and which ensures the heel overhang relative to the forefoot of the user.
- a foam-type material sufficiently rigid so that throughout the use of the pad there is no sagging and that the heel booster remains effective. The material is however damping to ensure a better comfort when receiving jumps.
- the perimeter of the horizontal portion extends vertically so as to serve as a comfort pad at the lower part of the rear quarter.
- the wedge 28 comprises two vertical wings 29 which line the inside of the uprights 13 and 14.
- the uprights 13 and 14 are made of a rigid plastic material that can hinder the user, even when it is already shod in an independent shoe and that it subsequently inserts its foot into the shoe according to the invention.
- the longitudinal extension of the wings is greater than that of the uprights. although these are larger than 13, 14.
- the wings 29 protrude forwardly and rearwardly from the uprights 13, 14.
- the portion of the wings which protrudes from the edges of the uprights 13, 14 prevents said edges from injuring the user.
- these wings overflow amounts guarantees the user a holding gradient between the areas where his foot is firmly maintained by the rear quarter and areas where it has no maintenance.
- the vertical wings can be cut to accommodate the shoe according to the invention to a shoe having a wider sole. Similarly, when the user will want to use the shoe according to the invention with a shoe whose stem is already well provided padding material, it will cut the wings at their base.
- the figure 5 shows the pad before the introduction of the shoe 35. All the clamping means are open, that is to say the strap / tongue 16, the lower leg strap 36 and the forefoot strap 37. The user can then insert his foot shod shoe 35 in the shoe then close and tighten the tightening means.
- the footwear part (base and rear quarter) which constitutes the core of the invention may be mounted on a skate with three wheels or more than this one is a rollerblading or not, or even on a skate that is not specially designed to perform acrobatic tricks. It can also be mounted with an ice skate blade.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to roller skates and more particularly to roller skates with in-line wheels, in particular those intended for producing acrobatic figures known as "aggressive" skids and which are designed to receive independent sports shoes.
One of the figures commonly performed with these pads is to perform a transverse slide using the central area of the pad as a gliding surface.
The present invention also aims to allow the same user to use different sports shoes in the same pad "aggressive" while allowing him to maintain the same relative positioning adjustment between his heel and the transverse arch.
The present invention also aims to improve the comfort and protection of the user during the practice of aggressive skating.
The present invention also aims to improve the lateral behavior of the heel of the user in an independent shoe shoe.
The present invention also aims to improve the lateral stability of the adjustable elements in length of the pad.
These different objects are achieved by providing a pad according to
In particular, these various objects are achieved by providing a shoe for receiving the shoe of a user, which shoe having a sole and a heel area, which shoe comprising: a base 4 for supporting said shoe, which base comprising a lateral flange 7 and a
The pad according to the invention is suitable for receiving an independent sports boot, that is to say not specifically designed for said pad. Whatever the type of sole of this shoe, that is to say for example a largely overflowing sole or a re-entrant sole, the user can adjust the position of the hindquarter relative to the central arch. Similarly a same base of the shoe according to the invention can be used by people with different sizes.
In the skate according to the invention, the rear quarter adjustable in length comprises two sidewalks projecting from the widest width of the lower part of said rear quarter. These sidewalks are maintained inside grooves in the vertical edges of the base which has the effect of optimizing the lateral and longitudinal behavior of the rear quarter on the base.

The base 4 is equipped with two sliding shoes. The front sliding
The lateral rim 7 is similar to the
The front and rear sliding shoes include vertical lifts that cover the front and rear portions of the lateral and medial edges. Thus they promote longitudinal sliding not only against surfaces on which is pressed the lower surface of the base, but also along the vertical edges.
Adjusting the rear quarter to the desired position is achieved by simply unscrewing the
The vertical wings can be cut to accommodate the shoe according to the invention to a shoe having a wider sole. Similarly, when the user will want to use the shoe according to the invention with a shoe whose stem is already well provided padding material, it will cut the wings at their base.
The embodiment described here is given by way of example and the invention is not limited to this single embodiment. For example, the footwear part (base and rear quarter) which constitutes the core of the invention may be mounted on a skate with three wheels or more than this one is a rollerblading or not, or even on a skate that is not specially designed to perform acrobatic tricks. It can also be mounted with an ice skate blade.
