Definitions
- the present invention relates to a sports shoe, suitable in particular for skiing, mountaineering and walking.
- ski boots generally have a rigid shell in which is inserted a soft inner boot.
- the shell generally comprises a plurality of elements made of a relatively rigid composite plastic material, and the liner is made by assembling several panels of foam or fabric.
- EP-A-0 406 212 discloses an alpine ski boot comprising a lower part intended to wrap the foot of the user, and an upper part, or collar, intended to surround the bottom of the leg.
- the collar is articulated in rotation with the lower part about an axis corresponding to the axis of articulation of the user's ankle.
- the rotation of the collar towards the rear is locked so as to allow the support of the skier's legs towards the rear, during the practice of skiing.
- the shoe allows a slight rotation of the collar forward to allow the user to lean forward.
- the touring skis are equipped with bindings allowing the boot to pivot around its front end, so as to allow the heel to lift. This movement involves longitudinal flexion and extension of the ankle, which is not allowed by alpine ski boots.
- the ski touring boots are equipped with a mechanism for unlocking the rotation of the collar towards the rear, in order to facilitate the approach walk by allowing longitudinal flexion and extension of the ankle.
- the collar is not free to pivot laterally, which blocks the movements of lateral flexion of the ankle, called inversion and eversion.
- the ski touring boots are not suitable for making approaching steps in which the skier unhooks his skis and moves on rough terrain, or mountaineering.
- ski touring boots are not more suitable for climbing phases in sloping areas that require a lateral inclination of the shoe.
- EP-A-0 406 212 describes a mechanism for adjusting the lateral inclination or "canting" of the collar relative to the lower part of the boot, depending on the morphology of the skier's legs. This adjustment is made before the practice ski, and it is no longer modified when using the shoe. The setting of the canting is not easy to achieve and often requires a tool.
- EP-A-0 406 212 a free position is provided in which the collar can freely tilt laterally.
- the angular amplitude of this movement is limited to a few degrees, and the friction makes the lateral inclination difficult. So, the shoe according to the document EP-A-0 406 212 is not adapted to allow easy lateral bending of the ankle during skiing or during walking.
- EP-A-1,880,623 discloses a ski boot whose amplitude of lateral flexion is increased.
- the shoe comprises two ball-type links.
- Two independent locking mechanisms ensure, on the one hand, the locking of the longitudinal flexion and extension of the ankle and, on the other hand, the blocking of the lateral bending.
- This device is relatively heavy and complex, and requires the presence of a large and protruding coupling plate.
- the collar of the shoe can not tilt simultaneously longitudinally and laterally, which limits the movements of the ankle.
- the object of the invention is to provide a shoe in which the collar has a great freedom of movement relative to the lower part.
- Another object of the invention is to provide a shoe light enough to allow the practice of walking, mountaineering, or even climbing, while being rigid enough to ensure proper leg support during practice ski, especially for the support of the leg on the back of the collar.
- the invention relates to a sports shoe according to claim 1.
- Other embodiments are disclosed in the dependent claims 2-11.
- the collar is free to tilt laterally and longitudinally, simultaneously, with respect to the lower part when the locking element is in the unlocking position.
- the locking of the collar is done easily by means of the locking element.
- each part of the collar is articulated with the lower part about a transverse axis perpendicular to a median plane of the shoe, which allows to reproduce anatomically the longitudinal flexion movement of the ankle.
- the relative movement of the translation of the collar parts relative to each other allows the lateral inclination of the collar relative to the lower part, in unlocking position, thanks to the inherent flexibility of the parts of the collar, who work in flexion.
- the Figures 1 to 7 show a sports shoe 1, particularly suitable for skiing, ski touring, mountaineering and walking. In this case, it is a ski touring boot.
- the shoe 1 comprises a lower part, or bottom shell 2, adapted to surround and envelop the foot of a user.
- An upper part of the shoe 1, or collar 3, is provided to surround and wrap the bottom of the leg of the user.
- the collar 3 is movable relative to the lower part 2.
- the lower part 2 extends in length along a longitudinal axis XX 'of the shoe 1, between a heel 23 located at the rear of the shoe 1, and a tip 24 located at the front of the shoe 1
- the lower part 2 comprises generally vertical lateral flanks 22A and 22B coming from the soleplate 21.
- the lateral flanks 22A and 22B define with the soleplate 21 a cavity designed to receive the foot of the user.
- An upper zone of the lower part delimits an opening 25 provided for the introduction of the foot.
- the lower part 2 and the collar 3 each comprise a shell 20 or rigid 30.
- the shells 20 and 30 are generally made of synthetic materials, for example plastic or composite, and the liner 4 is generally made by assembling several panels of foam or fabric.
- hooks or other clamping means may be used instead of or in addition to the laces 262 and the clamping member 264.
- the collar 3 extends in height between a lower edge 31, which defines an opening which opens into the opening 25 of the lower part 2, and an upper edge 32, which defines an opening 33 provided for the introduction of the foot of the user in the shoe 1.
- the liner 4 protrudes outside the hull 30 for reasons of comfort.
- the collar 3 comprises a first lateral portion 34A and a second medial portion 34B, which extend the lateral flanks 22A and 22B of the lower part 2 upwards.
- Parts 34A and 34B are two separate mechanical parts, in other words disjointed.
- the parts 34A and 34B are separated from each other by a slot 35 of the collar 3 located above the heel, in the rear part of the boot 1, through which the liner 4 is visible.
- the portions 34A and 34B extend on either side of a median plane M of the boot 1, vertically oriented, which passes through the longitudinal axis XX 'and which shares the shoe 1 in a lateral portion and a medial portion.
- Each portion 34A and 34B is articulated in rotation with a flank 22A or 22B of the lower part 2, at a zone corresponding to the malleolus of the user, by means of an elongate rivet 3420A or 3420B forming first and second articulation means.
- Each part 34A and 34B comprises a lower part, or bearing 342A or 342B, articulated in rotation with the lower part 2, around a generally horizontal axis A3 and perpendicular to the median plane M.
- the axis A3 is common to the two bearings 342A and 342B.
- the bearings 342A and 342B extend in length on either side of an axis A342, which has a direction radial with respect to the axis A7.
- the bearings 342A and 342B are rectilinear. Alternatively, they can be bent. In this case, the axis A342 is also curved.
- Each bearing 342A is extended upwardly by an upper portion 344A or 344B of the portion 34A or 34B of the corresponding collar 3, which is provided to partially surround the lower leg.
- the parts 34A and 34B are formed from thin and slightly flexible and elastic plates, so that the size of the shoe 1 is not penalized.
- Second clamping means 36 are provided for clamping the collar 3 on the lower leg of the user.
- the second clamping means 36 comprise a notched band 362 metal, fixed on the upper portion 344B of the medial portion 34B, and a clamping hook 364, fixed on the upper portion 344A of the side portion 34A.
- Each portion 34A and 34B comprises a first edge or inner edge 346A or 346B, which is parallel to the median plane M in the locking position, and in the unlocking position when the collar 3 extends perpendicular to the sole 21.
- a second Edge 348A or 348B of each portion 34A and 34B is opposed to the first edge 346A or 346B of the corresponding portion 34A or 34B.
- L1 a maximum width of each bearing 342A and 342B, measured perpendicular to the axis A342.
- L2 a minimum length of each bearing 342A and 342B, measured along the axis A342 between the axis A7 and the upper part 344A or 344B.
- the length L2 is strictly greater than the width L1.
- a report having, as denominator, the length L2 and, as numerator, the width L1 is between 1.3 and 2.5, preferably substantially equal to 1.5.
- Such a ratio between the dimensions L1 and L2 gives a clean flexibility to each portion 34A and 34B, which allows a lateral flexion movement F2 of each portion 34A and 34B, perpendicular to the median plane M.
- each portion 34A and 34B is wider than the bearings 342A and 342B and envelops the lower leg of the user on an angular sector ⁇ A or ⁇ B, greater than or equal to 90 °.
- the angles ⁇ A and ⁇ B are measured around an axis Y3, which is a longitudinal axis of the collar 3 corresponding to the central axis of the cylindrical envelope which delimits the external shape of the collar 3, between the edges 346A and 348A or 346B and 348B of 34A or 34B.
- the upper portions 344A and 344B of the portions 34A and 34B preferably surround the bottom of the leg over an angular sector greater than or equal to 300 °.
- the upper parts 344A and 344B together surround the lower leg about 360 °.
- the angular sector ⁇ A of the lateral portion 34A is approximately equal to 180 °

- the blocking position is adapted to the practice of ski trail, for which it is desirable to have a lock of the ankle.
- the lever 81 has a projecting portion 84A forming a cam which, when the lever 81 is tilted in the unlocking position, shifts the backrest so that it is no longer in contact with the parts 34A and 34B and prevents the lever 81 from returning to the blocking position.
- the projecting portion 84A does not come into direct contact with the parts 34A and 34B but a spring blade which itself pushes the parts 34A and 34B.
- this spring blade it is conceivable for this spring blade to be fixed inside the backsplash, above the attachment point of the lever and to extend downward below this point. The length of the spring blade then makes it possible to increase the amplitude of the offset between the backsplash and the collar.
- the spring blade also provides an energizing lever that makes the open position of the lever stable.
- the lever 81 To move from the blocking position to the unlocking position, the lever 81 is folded upwards into an unlocking position, as indicated by the arrow F3 at the figure 4 .
- the projecting portions 84A and 84B press against each portion 34A and 34B, so as to push the portions 34A and 34B against the liner 4, which has the effect of pushing the pins 85A and 85B out of the holes 86A and 86B.
- the figure 4a describes an alternative construction of the shoe according to the invention.
- a flexible blade 712 is fixed on the inner face of the backrest 71 near the lever 81.
- the flexible blade 712 is metallic and is fixed by a rivet 713 above the opening in the backrest which allows the passage of the projecting portion 84A of the lever 81.
- the flexible blade 712 provides two distinct functions. Firstly, it makes it possible to increase the arm of the lever of the protruding part 84A so as to move, even more, the backsplash 71 from the parts 34A and 34B of the collar. On the other hand, it provides a spring function which forces the rotation of the lever 81.
- This posterior flexion movement is represented by a first arrow F1 at the figure 2 . It is a rotation about the axis A3, perpendicular to the median plane M.
- ⁇ 1 is an angular amplitude of the longitudinal bending movement of the collar 3 relative to the lower part 2 in the unlocking position.
- the angular amplitude a1 is greater than 50 °, more preferably greater than 60 °.
- a lateral flexion movement F2 of the collar 3 with respect to the lower part 2 is authorized.
- the lateral bending is a rotation about an axis Y2 parallel to the longitudinal axis X-X ', located between the rivets 3420A and 3420B and included in the median plane M.
- the lateral flexion movement F2 is limited in one direction and in the other by the inherent rigidity of each part 34A and 34B.
- C is a quadrilateral shaped outline, the vertices of which are defined by the rivets 3420A, 3420B, 51A and 51B.
- the lower side C1 of the contour C, between the rivets 3420A and 3420B, remains fixed both in the locking position and in the unlocking position, during longitudinal flexion movements F1 and lateral F2.
- the lateral flexion movement F2 causes the other three sides of the contour C to move in movement, namely an upper side C2 generally parallel to the first side and situated between the rivets 51A and 51B, a lateral side C3 located between the rivets 3420A and 51A, and a medial side C4 located between the rivets 3420B and 51B.
- the sides C3 and C4 are generally vertical.
- the values of the angles of the quadrilateral defined by the contour C vary during lateral flexion F2.
- an angular amplitude of the lateral flexion movement F2 of the collar 3 relative to the lower part 2, on either side of the median plane M, in the unlocking position is between 10 ° and 30 °, preferably of the order of 20 °.
- the lateral flexure F2 of the portions 34A and 34B is simultaneously combined with a relative translational movement T of the lateral portion 34A with respect to the medial portion 34B.
- the translation T is parallel to the inner edge 346A or 346B of each portion 34A and 34B.
- the translation T comprises a first vertical component T1, parallel to the median plane M and perpendicular to the sole 21, and a second transverse component T2, perpendicular to the median plane M.
- the translational movement T results from the bending of the bearings 342A and 342B of Parts 34A and 34B.
- the lateral flexion movement F2 is authorized by mechanical decoupling of the portions 34A and 34B, thanks to the slot 35.
- the unlocking position thus allows a great freedom of movement of the collar 3 relative to the lower part 2, which allows the practice of walking, for example a walk in the context of the practice of ski touring or mountaineering.
- the boot 1 is light thanks to the structure of the locking element 7 and the locking means 8. Thanks to the two-part structure 34A and 34B of the collar 3, the lateral flexion movements of the ankle are authorized, and the Footprint 1 is limited.

Description
The present invention relates to a sports shoe, suitable in particular for skiing, mountaineering and walking.
To ensure the safety of the user and ensure optimum comfort when skiing, ski boots generally have a rigid shell in which is inserted a soft inner boot. The shell generally comprises a plurality of elements made of a relatively rigid composite plastic material, and the liner is made by assembling several panels of foam or fabric.
The touring skis are equipped with bindings allowing the boot to pivot around its front end, so as to allow the heel to lift. This movement involves longitudinal flexion and extension of the ankle, which is not allowed by alpine ski boots.
The ski touring boots are equipped with a mechanism for unlocking the rotation of the collar towards the rear, in order to facilitate the approach walk by allowing longitudinal flexion and extension of the ankle. However, the collar is not free to pivot laterally, which blocks the movements of lateral flexion of the ankle, called inversion and eversion. Thus, the ski touring boots are not suitable for making approaching steps in which the skier unhooks his skis and moves on rough terrain, or mountaineering. On the other hand, ski touring boots are not more suitable for climbing phases in sloping areas that require a lateral inclination of the shoe.

It is to these drawbacks that the invention more particularly intends to remedy by proposing a sports shoe allowing both the practice of alpine skiing, ski touring and mountaineering. The object of the invention is to provide a shoe in which the collar has a great freedom of movement relative to the lower part. Another object of the invention is to provide a shoe light enough to allow the practice of walking, mountaineering, or even climbing, while being rigid enough to ensure proper leg support during practice ski, especially for the support of the leg on the back of the collar.
For this purpose, the invention relates to a sports shoe according to
Thanks to the invention, the collar is free to tilt laterally and longitudinally, simultaneously, with respect to the lower part when the locking element is in the unlocking position. In addition, the locking of the collar is done easily by means of the locking element. Furthermore, each part of the collar is articulated with the lower part about a transverse axis perpendicular to a median plane of the shoe, which allows to reproduce anatomically the longitudinal flexion movement of the ankle. In addition, the relative movement of the translation of the collar parts relative to each other allows the lateral inclination of the collar relative to the lower part, in unlocking position, thanks to the inherent flexibility of the parts of the collar, who work in flexion.

The
The
The
The
In the example shown, the bearings 342A and 342B are rectilinear. Alternatively, they can be bent. In this case, the axis A342 is also curved.
Each bearing 342A is extended upwardly by an upper portion 344A or 344B of the
The
Each
We denote L1, a maximum width of each bearing 342A and 342B, measured perpendicular to the axis A342. We denote L2, a minimum length of each bearing 342A and 342B, measured along the axis A342 between the axis A7 and the upper part 344A or 344B. The length L2 is strictly greater than the width L1. A report having, as denominator, the length L2 and, as numerator, the width L1 is between 1.3 and 2.5, preferably substantially equal to 1.5.
Such a ratio between the dimensions L1 and L2 gives a clean flexibility to each
In the example shown in the figures, the upper parts 344A and 344B together surround the lower leg about 360 °.
Optionally, an additional tightening strap, not shown, is attached to each
In addition, the locking means 8 comprise two
When the
In the blocking position, the movements of the user's ankle are blocked. Thus, the blocking position is adapted to the practice of ski trail, for which it is desirable to have a lock of the ankle.

Forward, the longitudinal flexion movement, or anterior flexion, is limited by the physiology of the human ankle joint whose forward flexion is limited.
L'amplitude angulaire a1 est supérieure à 50°, de préférence encore supérieure à 60°.Α1 is an angular amplitude of the longitudinal bending movement of the
The lateral flexion movement F2 causes the other three sides of the contour C to move in movement, namely an upper side C2 generally parallel to the first side and situated between the

The unlocking position thus allows a great freedom of movement of the
The

The invention is not limited to the embodiment described. In particular, in the context of the invention, the described embodiments and their variants may be combined with each other, at least partially.
