Description

  

  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     Härtungsmittels.       Es ist gefunden worden, dass man zwecks  Härtung von Stahl ein Produkt verwenden  kann, das man dadurch erhält, dass man ein  vegetabilisches Öl, ein Harz und ein     Erd-          wachs    unter stetigem Umrühren miteinander  erhitzt und das Ganze dann stehen lässt.  Dieses Produkt eignet sich vorzüglich zum  Härten und gleichzeitigen Regenerieren von  verbranntem Stahl.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  650     gr    Leinöl werden mit 350     gr    Kolo  phonium und 50     gr        Ceresin    gleichmässig bis  auf 1200 C erhitzt. Das Gemisch wird zirka  10 Minuten lang auf dieser Temperatur ge  halten, wobei tüchtig gerührt wird. Die Mi  schung wird abgekühlt und stehen gelassen.  Es entsteht ein dickflüssiges Produkt, in  welches auf     Kirschrotglut    erhitzter Stahl  zwecks Härtung gesteckt wird.  



  Will mau die Konsistenz des Endpro  duktes erhöhen, so wird das Quantum Lein  öl vermindert, dafür aber mehr Kolophonium  zugesetzt. Der mit diesem Produkt behan-         delte    Stahl ist bedeutend weniger brüchig  als nicht behandelter Stahl gleicher Qualität.  Seine Eigenschaften nähern sich denjenigen  des     Rapidstahls.

  <I> Example: </I> 650 grams of linseed oil are heated evenly to 1200 C with 350 grams of colophonium and 50 grams of ceresin. The mixture is held at this temperature for about 10 minutes while stirring vigorously. The mixture is cooled and left to stand. The result is a viscous product into which steel heated on red cherry embers is inserted for hardening.



  If you want to increase the consistency of the end product, the amount of linseed oil is reduced, but more rosin is added. The steel treated with this product is significantly less brittle than untreated steel of the same quality. Its properties approach those of rapid steel.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Produktes zum Härten des Stahls, dadurch gekenn zeichnet, dass man ein vegetabilisches Öl, ein Harz und ein Erdwachs unter stetigem Rühren miteinander erhitzt und das Ganze dann stehen lässt. UNTERANSPRUCH: Verfahren nach Patentanspruch, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man Leinöl mit Kolo phonium und Ceresin mischt und miteinan der unter stetigem Rühren erhitzt.
