Automatic do bobbin change device for mechanical looms. The present invention relates to an automatic net changing device for mechanical weaving looms, with oscillating machine and with vertical change, characterized by means which during the breakage or exhaustion of the weft thread are brought by the weft breaker in the. trajectory of the bat both to be driven by it and to determine the oscillation of the magazine,
this os cillation causing the automatic change of the can by means of a loader arranged in said magazine and actuated by the magazine itself when it oscillates.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of this positive device and a variant of this form.
Fig. 1 is a general view, in side elevation; Fig. 2 to 4 are detail views, separately resp. in side elevation, in front elevation and in plan from below a variant of the form shown in fig. 1.
This device, which is applicable to all types of mechanical sword looms, comprises a support 1, fixed to the chest 2, on the side opposite to the weft breaker.
At its upper part, the support 1 of the embodiment FIG. 1 carries an axis 3 around which is a.rti.culé, on the one hand, an elbow lever 4, 5 whose small oblique arm 5 is provided with a finger 6 and, on the other hand, an oblique lever 7 against which the finger bears 6.
At the lower end of the large arm 4 of the elbow lever 4, 5 is articulated an arm 8, the angular displacement of which above the horizontal is prevented by a stop 9 integral with the arm 4 and whose displacement, angular at- below the horizontal, is controlled by a finger 10 attached to the free end of an arm 11 wedged on one of the ends of a shaft 12, running along the chest 2,
and on the opposite end of which is wedged an arm 13 which is hooked and pushed back in the direction of the arrow x (fig. 1) by the hook of the. fork of the weft breakage when the latter, during the. breakage of a weft thread, is itself pushed back in this direction by the hammer.
When, by the oscillation of this arm 13, causing the partial rotation of the shaft 12, the arm 11 is raised, it causes by its finger 10, the lifting of the arm 8 in the horizontal position (shown in dotted lines in fig. . 1) which, thus placed, is on the trajectory of the leaf 14, @ which makes that -the latter at the start of its. forward stroke (arrow y fig. 1) pushes back in the direction of arrow J 'by means of this arm 8 the vertical angled lever 1, 5.
The lowering of the small arm 5 which, by its finger 6, presses on the lever 7, .a. then the effect of driving the latter in the direction of. Yz arrow.
At the upper part of the support 1, at the rear of the axis 3, is articulated on an axis 15, the sorrel can holder magazine 16. This magazine has as usual a neck 17 for the bases (the skewers of the ca nettes and a support plate for the bodies (the cans 18, 18a, 18b, etc. coming from an interchangeable tank 10 and introduced one by one through the upper part of the magazine.
The bobbin 18 at the bottom of the magazine is resiliently retained in the magazine by two opposed flat springs 21 ready to be expelled and loaded into the bobbin 20 carried by the leaf 11.
The money-n of the store 16 around the axis 1.5 is controlled by the loader, which is coiistitiié by a pusher 22 sliding sant in guides arranged above the corridor 17, and forming a slide 23, and which pushes from top to bottom the last net ca 18, located at the lower end of the corridor 17. This pusher is mounted on a pin 24 fixed to the end of the oscillating lever 7 actuated by the finger 6.
Due to the. distance between the two axes 15 and 3, the lever 7 and its pusher 22 acting clans the slide 23, determine when the lever 4 oscillates under the. thrust of the leaf 11 on the arm 8. a slight oscillation of the magazine 16 which is placed, by its lower end, on the path of the leaf, and is. then driven directly by the latter using a ta quet 25 throughout the remainder of the travel of the leaf.
During this movement of my gasin 16 clans the direction of the. arrow # y2, the pus evening 22 continues its, downward stroke, thus progressively _chasing the can 18 in the, shuttle 20, while due the, exhausted can 18 'is ejected out (the this shuttle 2i) from below, in a channel 26.
Thus constituted, the operation of this automatic net change device is as follows: When the weft is not broken or the swatter 18 'located in the shuttle 20 still contains enough thread, the levers, camm.an -dés by the weft breaker remain in the position indicated in dotted lines, and the clapper 11 during its blows in,. is worth,
not meeting the arm 8, does not cause any movement of the magazine 16 or of the loader 7 to 22.
When, the swinging being behind (as shown in dotted lines) the arm 8 is, driven in its horizontal position shown in dashed lines, as a result of the breakage of the weft, the beating at the beginning (its stroke forward in the direction of the arrow y meeting this arm 8 thus raised, pushes it back. which causes the oscillation of the arm 1 in the direction of the arrow y ', clones the oscilla.tion of the lever 7 under the ambo of the finger 6 ,. and the.
des- eente of the pusher 22 which causes the oscilla-. lion of ma.ga-zin 16 clans the direction of the arrow y \.
By this start of oscilla.tion, which corresponds to the start of thrust chi arm 8 by the leaf 1.1, the lower end (the magazine is brought into the trajectory of the cleat 25 of the leaf. Then the nia-asin 16 is driven directly by this cleat 25 throughout the duration of the race before (the clapper,
while the descent of the pusher 22. the passage of the bobbin 18 clans the. shuttle 20 and. the expulsion of the empty can 18 'through the channel 26.
During the back stroke of the leaf. the store 16, and all the members that it drives, is brought back cry normal position, by one or more return springs 27, suitably arranged for this purpose.
In the variant shown fia. 2 to 4, the oscillating lever 7 of the loader 22 remains mounted on its pivot 3, but it is placed on the other side of the can holder magazine 16, and is not controlled by any member, the lever arms 5, 4 , 8 and 11 being removed and replaced, for the control of the magazine and the loader, by the device described below.
On the axis 15, which carries the oscillating magazine 16, is mounted on the side opposite to the lever 7 of the loader 22, a lever: angled 28, 32 whose large arm 28 freely oscillating ends at the height of the lower end store, by a finger 29, of triangular section.
This arm 28 can drive the magazine 16, by a kind of stirrup 30, which partially surrounds said magazine, leaving it however a relative play 31.
The small lever arm 32 is subjected to the action of a strong. leaf spring 33, mounted at the free end of an arm 34 wedged on the end of the shaft 12 - of the weft breaker opposite to that carrying the lever 13. The partial rotation of the shaft 12 in the direction of the arrow a- causes, as in the previous case, the rotation of the elbow lever 28, 32 in the direction of the arrow y '. On the leaf, at the entrance to the na vette box in which the change takes place, is fixed a ramp 35 of suitable shape comprising a notch 36, the whole arranged in the vertical plane of the finger 29.
As long as the profession is operating normally and the magazine is held in the rest position by the return springs 27, this ramp oscillates at a slight distance below the finger 29.
Thus constituted and simplified, this magazine and loader control device operates as follows: When the: weft breaker operates by acting on the arm of the lever 13, the shaft 12 causes the spring 33 to oscillate in the direction of the arrow .x, which causing the small pull 32 of the crank lever 28, 32 causes the latter to oscillate.
Due to the clearance 31 left between the caliper 30 and the magazine 16, the caliper comes with some late contact with the magazine, in order to drag it in turn in the oscillating movement of the magazine. arm 28, from the moment when after the moment when the finger 29, lowered by the beginning of oscillation of the lever 28, is gripped as the leaf passes, by the angle of the ramp 35, which brings it, from by the advancement of the leaf, in the. slide 36, which drives lever 28 and the magazine and consequently forces magazine 22 to slide down the ma gasin, pushing the can to load.
As soon as the leaf returns, the finger 29 is released from its slide 36, and the magazine and its assembly is returned to the normal position, by the spring or springs 27 arranged for this purpose.
