Verschluhvorrichtung an Schmelzöfen.
Shutting device on melting furnaces. When using a stopper to close the tapping hole of a melting furnace, it is necessary to attach a sealing material around the stopper, since with the mostly somewhat irregular shape of the tapping hole, the stopper alone cannot completely fill the hole and seal it off.
However, it is often quite difficult to correctly insert the sealing material into the tap hole in such a way that an effective closure is achieved immediately. Very often the sealing material remains in the snout located in front of the needle hole, respectively. at the edge of the needle hole.
The present closure device achieves easy and reliable introduction of the sealing material into the stitch hole and thus an effective closure.
For this purpose, this Vorrich device according to the invention has a certain tube for receiving sealing material and a slidably angeord Neten plug in this tube, which is intended to be driven forward in the pipe when it rests against the tapping nose and the sealing material from you to drive the pipe into the needle hole.
The drawing illustrates an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention through FIG. 1 in its application to a melting furnace and through FIG. 2 by itself in readiness for use.
A denotes the furnace wall consisting of the jacket c and the lining b , d the tapping lip and e the tapping opening.
The closure device consists of the tube f and the plug g arranged in this tube. The space in the tube that is not filled in front of the plug is filled with sealing material 6a.
If the needle hole e is to be closed after the tapping has taken place, the locking device f, g is guided into the snout d and against the needle hole e. When the pipe f hits the inner wall of the tapping spout d, the plug g is driven forward by hand inside the pipe f and thereby pushes the sealing material into the tap hole, the plug g simultaneously entering it. The tap hole e is completely closed, despite any irregularities at the edge, since the plug g is easily surrounded by the sealing material pressed out of the tube f.
In order to obtain a quick closure of the stitch hole, it is advantageous to attach the device from the outset in such a specific position with respect to the stitch hole that the plug can easily be knocked into the right place. For this purpose, for example, the shaft of the end plug can be positioned in front of the tap hole and running in the axial direction of the latter, through which the plug and tube closure device can be pushed in a straight line against the tap hole.
Or the locking device can be attached to a. The bracket, which is arranged swingably on the furnace wall, can be fastened in such a position that when the bracket swings towards it, the locking device attached to it enters the tap hole.
