Abstract

L'invention concerne un joint d'étanchéité destiné à être installé dans un espace défini par des unités de construction modulaires adjacentes, chacune ayant un cadre de support. Le joint d'étanchéité comprend au moins une couche de panneau de ciment structural ; et au moins une couche de laine minérale, et ladite au moins une couche dudit panneau et de la laine minérale présentant au moins un évidement de plaque conçu pour recevoir une plaque de support. L'invention concerne une construction de bâtiment modulaire, comprenant une pluralité d'unités modulaires, chaque unité ayant un cadre en acier. Quatre unités adjacentes de la pluralité forment une intersection, et des plaques de support sont fixées aux surfaces supérieures des coins formés par chaque cadre. Le joint d'étanchéité est disposé dans un espace défini au niveau de l'intersection, le joint d'étanchéité ayant quatre évidements de plaque pour recevoir les plaques de support. Dans encore un autre mode de réalisation, l'invention concerne un procédé de construction d'un bâtiment constitué d'unités modulaires comprenant le joint d'étanchéité.
