Abstract

The invention proposes a protective garment comprising: - a waistband (10), suitable for being positioned around the waist of a user (U), - two leg parts (20), each leg part comprising an upper portion (21) intended to be wrapped around a thigh of the user, a lower portion (22) intended to be wrapped around a calf of the user, and an intermediate portion (23) linking the upper and lower portions together, - a plurality of airbags (30), and - a trigger device (40) for inflating the airbags, characterised in that the intermediate portion of each leg part comprises a cut-out that faces the front of the user's knee when the leg part is in position around his or her leg, and in that the upper portion and the lower portion of each leg part each comprise at least one airbag adjacent to the cut-out of the intermediate portion.

VETEMENT DE PROTECTION A COUSSINS GONFLABLES AMELIORE
DOMAINE DE L'INVENTION
L'invention concerne un vêtement de protection comprenant des coussins gonflables ou airbags, qu'un utilisateur peut positionner autour de sa taille et de ses jambes pour sécuriser la pratique d'une activité dangereuse telle que la moto, le ski, ou encore l'équitation.
ETAT DE LA TECHNIQUE
On connaît déjà des vêtements de protection équipés de coussins gonflables ou airbags, utilisés par exemple pour se protéger lors de la pratique de la moto ou du ski. En particulier, des gilets de protection ont été développés, comprenant au moins un coussin gonflable sur l'avant et un autre sur le dos, pour permettre de sécuriser le thorax d'un utilisateur.
S'il est vrai que la majeure partie des accidents graves en deux-roues proviennent de dégâts causés à la partie supérieure du corps, ces accidents ne représentent qu'une partie minoritaire des accidents de deux-roues infligeant des dégâts à leur conducteur. En effet, 80% des accidents en deux-roues provoquent des dégâts sur la partie inférieure du corps, c'est-à-dire sur les jambes, en causant par exemple des fractures ou des luxations.
Des pantalons de protection équipés de coussins gonflables, et qui peuvent être enfilés par un utilisateur au-dessus d'un pantalon de ville, ont été
proposés. On connaît par exemple les documents WO 200011979 et GB2352162 qui décrivent des combinaisons pour motards comprenant un gilet et un pantalon de protection, ce dernier étant muni de coussins gonflables et pouvant être enfilés par les pieds.
Cependant, ces pantalons ne sont pas bien accueillis par les utilisateurs du fait de la difficulté et du temps nécessaire pour les enfiler.
De plus, ils constituent une tenue qui la plupart du temps se substitue à la tenue de ville d'origine, obligeant ainsi le motard à porter sa tenue de protection entre deux déplacements, pour la pratique d'autres activités, ce qui constitue un inconvénient majeur.
Par ailleurs, on connaît du document U55091992 un équipement de protection fait de bandes de protection gonflables, qui peut être enfilé par-dessus la tenue de ville d'un utilisateur. FIELD OF THE INVENTION

However, these pants are not well received by users of the makes it difficult and time consuming to put them on.
In addition, they constitute an outfit which most of the time replaces the original business attire, thus forcing the rider to wear his protection between two trips, for the practice of other activities, which constitutes a major drawback.
Furthermore, document U55091992 is known to provide equipment for protection made of inflatable protective strips, which can be put on above the attire of a user. Given the large number of bands protection to be positioned, it is likely that the time required for user for

L'invention a pour but de pallier au moins en partie les inconvénients de l'art antérieur.
En particulier, un but de l'invention est de proposer un vêtement de protection qui soit simple et rapide à enfiler, et qui présente une protection améliorée de l'utilisateur.
Tout en restant esthétique, ce vêtement doit pouvoir être enfilé et retiré
rapidement et facilement au-dessus d'une tenue de ville pour permettre de conserver une tenue d'origine propre aux activités de la journée, et de n'être porté
que lors de la pratique de l'activité dite à risque .
Un autre but de l'invention est de proposer un vêtement de protection comprenant des coussins gonflables adaptés pour protéger l'utilisateur sans pour autant causer de risques d'accidents en cas de déclenchement intempestif de leur gonflage.
A cet égard, l'invention a pour objet un vêtement de protection comprenant :
- une ceinture, adaptée pour être positionnée autour de la taille d'un utilisateur, - deux jambières, chaque jambière comprenant une portion supérieure destinée à être enroulée autour d'une cuisse de l'utilisateur, une portion inférieure destinée à être enroulée autour d'un mollet de l'utilisateur, et une portion intermédiaire reliant entre elles les portions supérieure et inférieure, - une pluralité de coussins gonflables de sécurité, et 2 put on this equipment is as long as the pants described above, and dissuade from its use.

Le vêtement de protection selon l'invention présente une structure qui lui permet d'être mis facilement et rapidement par un utilisateur, en enroulant les portions supérieure et inférieure de chaque jambière autour respectivement de sa cuisse et de son mollet. En particulier, il n'est pas nécessaire de l'enfiler par le pied, ni de devoir ôter sa chaussure.
Du fait de la forme des jambières et de la disposition des coussins gonflables, une protection optimale est assurée pour l'utilisateur. En effet, la protection du genou est assurée par les coussins gonflables situés de part et d'autre de l'échancrure de chaque jambière. Une fois les coussins gonflés, le genou se trouve au fond d'un renfoncement délimité par les coussins, ce qui assure sa protection. Cependant, l'absence d'airbag au niveau du genou permet, en cas de déclenchement intempestif des coussins, de ne pas diminuer la mobilité du genou et donc de ne pas créer de raideur qui pourrait causer des accidents.
Les autres coussins gonflables sont avantageusement positionnés sur les zones les plus susceptibles d'être touchées lors d'un accident, à savoir l'arrière du mollet et une zone située à l'arrière, et sur le côté extérieur de la cuisse.
L'épaisseur une fois gonflée de ce dernier coussin est adaptée pour ne pas empêcher de plier au moins en partie la jambe.
L'entrejambe de l'utilisateur n'est pas protégé car cette zone n'est que rarement touchée lors d'un accident de deux-roues. Cette absence de protection permet en revanche de conserver le contrôle du deux-roues en cas de déclenchement intempestif des coussins.

Referring to Figures 1 and 2, there is shown a protective garment 1, which can be used to secure a user for example in the practice of two-wheelers, especially motorcycles, and also in the practice of horseback riding skiing or other board sports, or even parachute jumping.
This protective clothing 1 takes the form of pants, or more precisely an over-pants, that is to say that it is preferably put on-above the pants of a user.
The protective garment 1 comprises a belt 10 adapted to come surround the waist of a user U, and two leggings 20 connected to the belt 10.
Each cuff is adapted to surround a user's leg, and includes in particular an upper portion 21 adapted to be wound around the thigh, and a lower portion 22, adapted to be wrapped around the calf of the user.
As can be seen in Figure 2, the upper and lower portions of each leggings 20 therefore take substantially the form of bands that can be wrap around the leg and close by means of a closure device 29 located to the opposite ends of the strip.

Prenant pour exemple la nécessité pour la plupart des motards de s'équiper d'un pantalon de pluie, une attention particulière sera portée à un textile imperméable, avec possibilité d'avoir recours à des bandes de tissus imperméables complémentaires pouvant se dégager en cas de pluie et se fixer au vêtement au moyen de bandes de velours-crochet sur les parties visibles et exposées à la pluie.
Le vêtement 1 pourra donc aussi se substituer à un pantalon de pluie pour offrir en outre une protection en matière de sécurité.
Comme visible sur les figures 1 et 2, les portions supérieures 21 et inférieure 22 de chaque jambière sont reliées entre elles par une portion intermédiaire 23, typiquement en forme de bande. Cette portion intermédiaire 23 est conformée pour que la jambière présente une échancrure 24 en vis-à-vis de la face avant du genou de l'utilisateur une fois la jambière 20 en position sur la jambe de l'utilisateur. La bande 23 vient alors se positionner à l'arrière de l'articulation du genou.
De plus, chaque jambière 20 est reliée solidairement à la ceinture 10 par une bande 25 qui est conformée pour que le vêtement 1 présente une échancrure 26 en regard de l'entrejambe de l'utilisateur.
Le vêtement 1 comprend en outre une pluralité de coussins gonflables 30, également connus sous l'anglicisme airbag , ainsi qu'un système de déclenchement 40 (représenté en figures 3, 4a et 4b) des coussins gonflables 6 This allows the garment to be positioned on the user more easily than if it had to be put on by the feet.

As visible in Figures 1 and 2, the upper portions 21 and lower 22 of each leg are interconnected by an intermediate portion 23, typically strip-shaped. De plus, l'épaisseur des coussins une fois gonflés est de préférence inférieure à 8 cm pour éviter qu'un déclenchement intempestif ne génère une perte de contrôle du véhicule (par exemple dans le cas d'un choc latéral déclenchant un coussin latéral, et à la suite duquel le conducteur réussit à reprendre le contrôle du véhicule).
Cependant, dans le cas d'un déclenchement intempestif du gonflage des coussins 30, la mobilité de l'articulation du genou est préservée du fait de l'absence d'un coussin gonflable au niveau du genou, ce qui permet de limiter le risque d'accident consécutif à ce gonflage inopiné.
En outre, chaque jambière comprend de préférence deux autres coussins gonflables.
Un coussin gonflable 30 se situe sur la portion inférieure 22 de chaque jambière 20, en étant positionné de manière à couvrir, et donc protéger, l'arrière du mollet de l'utilisateur lorsque celui-ci porte le vêtement. On comprend que la distance entre les deux coussins 30 de la portion inférieure 22 de la jambière pour obtenir ce résultat dépend de la taille de l'utilisateur et donc de la taille du vêtement.
De manière connue en soi, on pourra proposer un vêtement présentant plusieurs tailles standardisées pour correspondre à des personnes de statures variées.
Un autre coussin gonflable 30 se situe sur la portion supérieure 21 de chaque jambière 20, en étant positionné de manière à couvrir, et donc protéger, une zone située sur le côté extérieur de la cuisse. However, in the event of an untimely triggering of inflation of the cushions 30, the mobility of the knee joint is preserved due to the absence an airbag in the knee area, which reduces the risk of accident resulting from this unexpected inflation.
In addition, each leg preferably includes two other cushions inflatables.
An airbag 30 is located on the lower portion 22 of each leggings 20, being positioned so as to cover, and therefore protect, the back of the calf of the user when he wears the garment. We understand that the distance between the two cushions 30 of the lower portion 22 of the cuff for to obtain this result depends on the height of the user and therefore on the size of the garment.
In a manner known per se, it is possible to provide a garment having several standardized sizes to match people of various builds.
Another airbag 30 is located on the upper portion 21 of each leg 20, being positioned so as to cover, and therefore protect a area on the outer side of the thigh. More precisely this cushion covers

Avantageusement, mais facultativement, ce coussin 30 est conformé de manière à présenter une épaisseur, une fois gonflé, comprise entre 3 et 8 cm.
En effet, l'épaisseur doit dépasser une épaisseur minimale pour garantir la protection de la cuisse, mais ne doit pas dépasser une épaisseur maximale au-delà de laquelle l'utilisateur serait gêné pour plier sa jambe, compte-tenu de la position de ce coussin.
En référence aux figures 3, et 4a à 4c, le système de déclenchement 40 des coussins gonflables comprend une cartouche d'air comprimé 41, qui est avantageusement positionnée dans une poche de la ceinture qui est accessible par l'utilisateur, mais qui de préférence peut être fermée pour empêcher la cartouche d'en sortir.
Le système de déclenchement 40 comprend en outre un circuit d'alimentation 42 des coussins 30, reliant la cartouche 41 à chacun des coussins.
De plus, le système de déclenchement 40 comprend une unité de contrôle 43, adaptée pour commander l'ouverture de la cartouche d'air comprimé afin que celle-ci gonfle les coussins. Cette unité de contrôle comprend avantageusement un calculateur (non représenté) de type processeur, microprocesseur ou microcontrôleur.
En référence aux figures 4a à 4c, plusieurs possibilités sont envisageables pour déclencher le gonflage des coussins. Selon une première possibilité
représentée en figure 4a, le système de déclenchement comprend en outre un ou plusieurs capteurs 44, pouvant comprendre un ou plusieurs capteurs de vitesse et un ou plusieurs accéléromètres.
L'unité de contrôle 43 est alors connectée aux capteurs et adaptée pour commander le gonflage des coussins en cas d'une décélération supérieure à un seuil prédéterminé, combinée ou non à une vitesse initiale avant la décélération supérieure à un autre seuil. The trigger system 40 further comprises a circuit supply 42 of the cushions 30, connecting the cartridge 41 to each of the cushions.
In addition, the trigger system 40 comprises a control unit 43, suitable for controlling the opening of the compressed air cartridge so that this inflates the cushions. This control unit advantageously comprises a processor (not shown) type processor, microprocessor or microcontroller.
Referring to Figures 4a to 4c, several possibilities are possible to trigger the inflation of the cushions. According to a first possibility shown in Figure 4a, the trigger system further comprises one or several sensors 44, which may include one or more speed sensors and one or more accelerometers.
The control unit 43 is then connected to the sensors and suitable for control the inflation of the cushions in the event of a deceleration greater than one predetermined threshold, whether or not combined with an initial speed before the deceleration greater than another threshold. As a variant, for example when using the clothing when traveling on two-wheelers, the vehicle may also include a speed sensor to which the control unit is connected,

Selon encore une autre variante représentée en figure 4c, le vêtement 1 peut être utilisé avec un gilet de protection, lui-même équipé de coussins gonflables et d'un système de déclenchement. Dans ce cas l'unité de contrôle 43 est avantageusement connectée au système de déclenchement du gilet par une interface de connexion 46, de préférence filaire, et reçoit dudit système les instructions de déclenchement du gonflage des coussins.
Afin de supporter le gonflage des coussins, les dispositifs de fermeture 29 des jambières (et possiblement de la ceinture) permettent avantageusement d'accommoder une petite variation de longueur de la bande de textile formant ces jambières, sans s'ouvrir. A cet égard, chaque dispositif de fermeture comprend de préférence des bandes de velours-crochet aux extrémités de chaque bande et adaptées pour venir en regard l'une de l'autre.
En variante, chaque dispositif de fermeture peut comprendre plusieurs rangées de boutons pressions, de sorte que certains puissent se détacher lors du gonflage.
Enfin, on constate que même si les coussins sont gonflés, l'échancrure 26 au niveau de l'entrejambe de l'utilisateur permet de ne pas gêner l'utilisateur, notamment dans la conduite de son deux-roues dans les cas de déclenchement intempestif.
La structure du vêtement, couplée à la disposition des coussins, permet donc une protection optimale de l'utilisateur, y compris en cas de déclenchement inopiné des coussins.
Dans une variante avantageuse de l'invention, les échancrures pourront être élargies en minimisant les parties de vêtement afin de permettre aussi aux utilisateurs de scooters de s'équiper de ce vêtement de protection en minimisant l'encombrement qu'il induit. 9 advantageously by a wireless connection of the Bluetooth type. In order to support the inflation of the cushions, the closing devices 29 leggings (and possibly the belt) advantageously allow to accommodate a small variation in length of the textile web forming these leggings, without opening. In this regard, each closure device comprises of preferably velvet-crochet strips at the ends of each strip and adapted to come opposite one another.
As a variant, each closure device may comprise several rows of snaps, so that some can come off when of inflation.
Finally, we see that even if the cushions are inflated, the notch 26 at the level of the user's crotch allows not to interfere the user, in particular in the driving of its two-wheeler in the event of release untimely.
The structure of the garment, coupled with the arrangement of the cushions, allows therefore optimal protection of the user, including in the event of trigger unexpected cushions.
In an advantageous variant of the invention, the notches may be enlarged by minimizing the parts of the garment in order to also allow scooter users to equip themselves with this protective clothing minimizing the clutter it induces.

Claims

1. Protective clothing (1) comprising:
- a belt (10), adapted to be positioned around the waist of a user (U), - two leggings (20), each leggings comprising a portion upper (21) intended to be wrapped around a thigh of user, a lower portion (22) intended to be wrapped around of a user's calf, and an intermediate portion (23) connecting between they the upper (21) and lower (22) portions, - a plurality of airbags (30) of safety, and - a trigger device (40) adapted to trigger inflation pillows, characterized in that the intermediate portion (23) of each leg behaves a notch adapted to come opposite the front of the knee of the user when the pad is in position around his leg, and in that the upper portion (21) and the lower portion (22) of each leg warmer (30) each include at least one inflatable cushion (30) disposed of adjacent to the indentation of the intermediate portion.

2. Protective garment (1) according to claim 1, each cushion inflatable (30) is adapted to have, when inflated, a thickness of at least less 3 cm.

3. Protective garment (1) according to one of claims 1 or 2, in wherein the lower portion (22) of each leg (20) comprises a cushion additional inflatable (30) disposed opposite the first with respect to the first when the cuff is in position around the user's leg.

4. Protective garment (1) according to one of the preceding claims, in wherein the upper portion (21) of each leg (20) comprises a cushion additional inflatable (30) positioned at a distance from the first, so as to find on the outer side of the user's thigh when the cuff is position around the user's leg.

5. Protective clothing (1) according to the preceding claim, wherein the additional airbag (30) from the upper portion (22) of each leggings (20) is adapted to present, once inflated, a thickness included between 3 and 8 cm.

6. Protective clothing (1) according to one of the preceding claims, in which the lower (22) and upper (21) portions of each leg (20) include an attachment device (29) selected from the group consisting of :
velvet-crochet bands, and several rows press studs.

7. Protective clothing (1) according to one of the preceding claims in wherein the trigger device (40) comprises an air cartridge compressed (41), a supply circuit (42) of the cushions (30) connecting the cushions to the cartridge (41), and a control unit (43) suitable for controlling the opening of the compressed air cartridge (41).

8. Protective garment (1) according to claim 7, wherein the device trigger (40) further comprises at least one of a speed sensor or accelerator (44), or includes a connection interface (46) of the circuit electronic triggering to one triggering device of another protective clothing.

9. Protective clothing (1) according to one of the preceding claims, said garment having a cutout (26) adapted to come opposite the user's crotch when the garment is in the over position the user.

10. Use of a protective garment (1) according to one of claims previous experiences in the practice of motorcycling, skiing, parachute jumping or the horse riding.
