Abstract

Un procédé de laminage de tubes sur un laminoir ininterrompu comprend la déformation d'une ébauche de tube au moyen d'une unité à mandriner. L'unité à mandriner comprend un mandrin cylindrique qui est réalisé de manière à pouvoir s'accoupler tour à tour par ses extrémités aux accessoires de l'unité à mandriner. Le mandrin possède à ses extrémités des régions à surface latérale biseautée dont l'angle de la génératrice avec l'axe longitudinal du mandrin est compris entre 10 et 70 degrés. La déformation des ébauches de tubes se fait jusqu'à la valeur d'usure des régions de travail des deux côtés du mandrin à 25 % au moins de la valeur critique, après quoi le mandrin est affuté de nouveau. L'utilisation de l'invention permet de prolonger la durée d'exploitation du mandrin, réduit la formation de défauts à la surface intérieure des tubes et évite l'apparition de situations d'urgence lors du laminage.
