Abstract

L'invention concerne un produit métallique qui présente une surface anodisée dotée de propriétés antimicrobiennes. L'invention concerne également des procédés de production d'un tel produit métallique et des articles de fabrication l'incorporant. Le produit métallique antimicrobien de l'invention comprend une couche de surface poreuse formée par anodisation, la couche de surface poreuse comprenant un dépôt électrolytique constitué d'au moins un métal et d'au moins un composé antimicrobien. Les procédés de l'invention peuvent être réalisés sur différents métaux et sur des métaux de différentes qualités et/ou de différentes tailles, comprenant l'aluminium, le titane, le zinc, le magnésium, le niobium, le tantale et des alliages anodisables de ceux-ci. Le produit métallique présente une surface antimicrobienne efficace pour éliminer un large spectre de micro-organismes, y compris différents agents pathogènes.
