Abstract
Au moins une partie d'un fluide est comprimée dans un compresseur commandé par un moteur électrique. Le compresseur possède des pales de guidage à entrée variable dont un angle peut être ajusté. Le moteur électrique est alimenté en utilisant un réseau d'alimentation électrique, et un signal représentatif d'une condition du réseau d'alimentation électrique est surveillé. A partir du signal, il est automatiquement déterminé si un délestage additionnel est nécessaire, en comparant le signal à un critère prédéterminé. L'angle des pales de guidage à entrée variable est automatiquement ajusté lorsque le critère est satisfait et qu'un délestage additionnel est nécessaire. Ceci réduit automatiquement la charge du compresseur. Le compresseur et le procédé pour son fonctionnement peuvent être utilisés comme partie d'un système de production d'un courant d'hydrocarbure liquéfié et/ou au cours de la production d'un courant d'hydrocarbure liquéfié, auquel cas le compresseur peut être un compresseur de réfrigérant, et le fluide, un fluide réfrigérant.
