Abstract

La présente invention concerne un appareil destiné à former un tunnel souterrain. L'appareil comprend une tête de forage destinée à retirer du matériau d'une partie de paroi du tunnel et former ainsi une partie du tunnel. En outre, l'appareil comprend une structure de support pour supporter une partie du tunnel préalablement formée. La structure de support est agencée de sorte à fournir une force de support contre une surface du tunnel, à l'arrêt et lors de son déplacement le long du tunnel. En outre, l'appareil comprend un transporteur pour transporter le matériau retiré par la tête de forage vers un emplacement éloigné de la tête de forage lors de la formation de la partie du tunnel.
