Abstract

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé de fourniture d'un contenu télévisuel multi-canaux sur une liaison (24) de communication à un seul canal, par l'intermédiaire d'une technologie de ligne numérique abonné. Le procédé consiste à configurer un spouleur vidéo (60) de manière à recevoir une demande vidéo, en direct, ou stockée, à partir d'un client, un bureau central (20) étant en communication avec ce spouleur (60) et étant conçu pour recevoir la demande d'émissions à partir du spouleur (60), si la demande concerne une émission en direct, et pour transmettre l'émission en direct demandée au spouleur (60). Pendant les périodes où le client ne regarde pas une émission en direct, le spouleur (60) demande des émissions au bureau central (20) et conserve ces émissions, aux fins de visualisation ultérieure. Ce spouleur (60) permet également au client de regarder ultérieurement des émissions enregistrées, et il est également conçu pour permettre au client d'un réseau, de regarder une émission en direct tandis qu'un autre client de ce réseau regarde une émission enregistrée.
