Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à une matière luminescente et à un dispositif électroluminescent (EL) organique doté d'un grand pouvoir de luminescence, dans lequel sont utilisés deux composés organiques qui contribuent à la luminescence. Ces deux composés organiques possèdent une relation entre les niveaux d'énergie dans l'état excité, qui est telle qu'un transfert d'énergie a lieu depuis l'état de triplet excité d'un composé vers l'état de triplet excité de l'autre composé. Le dispositif EL organique et la matière luminescente de l'invention possèdent un fort pouvoir luminescent, une forte luminance et une grande durabilité, ils peuvent dépasser la valeur marginale de 25 % de l'efficacité quantique interne conventionnellement reconnue aux matières luminescentes utilisées dans les dispositifs EL organiques, et ils peuvent s'appliquer à toutes les couleurs d'émission considérées nécessaires à un afficheur.
