Abstract
L'invention porte sur un dispositif de transmission par paquets qui conserve une certaine largeur de bande pour un appel. Lorsqu'une période de silence est détectée, la largeur de bande qui est affectée à l'appel est réduite. Lorsqu'une période de signaux vocaux est détectée, la largeur de bande réduite reste en force, à moins qu'il y ait une capacité de réserve, auquel cas une mesure complète de largeur de bande est affectée à l'appel.
