Abstract
Pour appliquer une fibre optique (1) sur un substrat (3) enduit d'un adhésif, il faut une réserve de fibre optique en bobine (13). La fibre optique est introduite avec du mou (17) dans un magasin de fibres entre la bobine (13) et un pied de biche (9) ou une filière, par lesquels la fibre optique descend jusqu'à un abaisseur (11) à surface applicatrice fixe. L'abaisseur (11) maintient la fibre contre la surface du substrat (3). On déplace la bobine (13), le pied de biche (9) et l'abaisseur (11) de façon à ce que le point de contact avec la surface du substrat suive une trajectoire attendue, correspondant à l'endroit où appliquer la fibre optique (1), ce qui permet d'appliquer la fibre en suivant de petits rayons de courbure, et avec un minimum de contrainte mécanique. Un coupe-fibre (23) disposé en amont du pied de biche (9) peut couper la fibre au niveau des emplacements où elle doit se terminer de manière à ne pas produire de queues de fibres. Un dispositif débiteur (21) de fibres est placé derrière le coupe-fibre (23) de façon à débiter davantage de fibre après que la fibre a été coupée.
