Fig. 6 shows a back corner of the screen crusher of figure 5;
Fig. 7 shows a mushroom shaped bit which is replaceable with bit 11 of figure 1;
Fig. 8 shos the bit of figure 7 in cross section along line VIII-VIII of figure 7;
Fig. 9 shows an alternative bit with two successive sharp pointed edges 22;
Fig. 10 shows alternative screening elements for partially covering the back side of the screen crusher;
Fig. 11 shows an end view of the screening elements of figure 10; and Figures 12 A,B,C show the use of the screen crusher with different kinds of working machines such as a bucket loader or an excavating machine.
As can be seen from figures 1 and 2, the screen crushes has a bucket shaped body which can be mounted by means of fastening elements 3 on the boom of a working machine. The bucket has a bottom plate 1, back side 2 and side plates 4. The back side is provided with screening and crushing means including rotatable drums or axles 7 which are surrounded by disc plates 8 and projecting bits 11 between the disc plates 8. The drums or axles 7 with discs 8 and bits are rotated all in the same direction by means of hydraulic motors 6 and driving chains (not shown) within the end capsules 5. The axial distances between the discs 8 and the distances between the drums or axles 7 define the screening openings. The disc peripheries of adjacent drums 7 are close to each other and the bits 11 extend between the discs 8 of the adjacent drum thereby cleaning the disc spaces. Between the disc plates 8 there are fastening elements 9 for the projecting bits11. The positions of the fastening elements 9 turn in a spiral fashion while progressing in the axial direction of the drum or axle 7.
Figures 7 and 8 show an alternative bit shape 18 like a mushroom which is to enhance the screening function by bouncing the material up an down when the drums 7 are rotating. The bits 11 or 18 of desired shape can be easily changed on the drums. For that purpose each fastening element 9 comprises two adjacent lugs with a recess there between, and each bit (such as 18 in figures and 8) has an attachment base 19 fitting into the recess. The lugs 9 and attachment base 19 are provided with a matching hole 10,20 respectively, for a pin (not shown) which detachably secures each bit 11 or 18 with the fastening elements 9.
For obtaining more versatile screening and crushing functions applicable to different kinds of materials such as soil, wastes and manures (cowmanure). The back side further comprises at least one of the following alternative screening and/or crushing means removably mounted between the side walls in a fixed position:
1 ) a counter blade beam 12 of figures 2-4 at the back side of each nip point of each pair of drums, said beam 12 acting as counter blade for the bits 11 or 18. The square beam 12 has small bits 13 at the disc locations for sweeping the disc surfaces 8' to avoid sticking or bogging of the discs against the beam 12;
2) a counter screen beam 16 with additional screening plates 17 (figures 5 and 6) at the back side of each nip point of each pair of drums, said beam 16 acting as a counter blade for the bits 11 and 18, and the plates 17 acting as a counter screen for the screening disc plates 8; and 3) counter screen plates 23, 24, 25 of figures 10 and 11 with screening open-s ings 27 at the back side of each drum.
The side walls 4 are provided with fixing means, such as holes for bolts or screws 15, for fixing any of said additional screening andlor crushing means between the side plates. For that purpose the beams 12 and 16 have similar end plates 14 with holes 15a for the screws or bolts 15, and the screen plates 23, 24, 25 have a common end plate 26 at each end of the screen plates, the common end plate 26 also being provided with (threaded or unthreaded) holes 15b which are located to match the holes for screws or bolts 15 at the side walls 4.
Figure 9 shows a further alternative for the bit shape. Projecting bit 21 has at least two successive sharp edges 22 at the outer periphery of the bit. This bit is used if efficient crushing is needed. Also with this bit 21 can be used any one of the three alternatives for counter screening of the material passed through the interstices between the rotating screening drums 7 and discs 11. Also the uppermost counter blade beam or counter screen beam has an important role to function in co-operation with the uppermost screening drum 7.
According to a second aspect of the invention, there is provided a screen crusher for soil, waste or manure materials, comprising:
1b a bucket of an excavating machine or a bucket loader, the bucket having a bottom ~>late, a back aide and two opposite side walls as well as means for attaching the bucN;et with a bc:~om of the excavating machine or the bucket loader;
rotatable drums extending between said side walls and partially covering said back side;
disc plat~:~s mounted around the drums at axial distances along the drums for screening the nnaterials in the bucket;

Fig. 1 shows the ;screen crusher axonometrically from the back side;
Fig. 2 shows cross sectional view of the screen crusher along line 11-11 of figure 3;
Fig. 3 shows a back corner of the screen crusher of figure 2;
Fig. 4 shows enlargement IV of figure 3;
Fig. 5 shows cross sectional view of the screen crusher along line V-V of figure 6 similarly as in figure 2 but with slightly different back side elements as in figure 2;
Fig. 6 shows a back corner of the screen crusher of figure 5;
Fig. 7 shows a mushroom shaped bit which is replaceable with bit 11 of figure 1;
Fig. 8 shos the bit of figure 7 in cross section along line VIII-VIII of figure 7;
Fig. 9 shows an alternative bit with two successive sharp pointed edges 22;
