Abstract
L'invention concerne une cathode à émission de champ qui est améliorée, ainsi que des procédés pour fabriquer une telle cathode. Selon les procédés de l'invention, la cathode à émission de champ est faite avec au moins un corps contenant une première substance. Le procédé consiste à préparer des irrégularités dans une surface d'émission du corps, à ajouter à la surface d'émission du corps des ions d'une seconde substance avec une fonction de travail faible et à modifier la surface émettrice en induisant une émission de champ par l'application d'un champ électrique variable au corps, en augmentant la force du champ par étapes.
