2~3~4 POMPE ROTATlVE A VIS, MOT~-PC)MPE;
RECIPIENT E T MACHINE EQUIPE5 D'UNI~ T~LLE POMPE
- soit le moyen de tourbillonnement consiste en un prolongement de la vis sans fin, au travers de l'ouverture de refoulement de la pompe;

Grâce à la pompe décrite selon figure 2, et avec les mêmes paramètres techniques que ceux décrits en exemple dans le préambule de la description, en ajoutant selon l'invention une longueur de 10 mm à la vis 2, à l'extérieur du corps tubulaire la, alors il est possible d'obtenir un temps d'amorçage de 9 secondes, avec un débit nominal de l'ordre de 24 litres par heure, et une hauteur d'aspiration d'un metre. Par ailleurs, la vis peut avoir un diamètre de 17 à 18 mm, avec un pas de 4,5 à 5,5 m-n. D'après cet exemple, on constate donc aussi une amélioration substantielle, et du temps d'amor$age et du débit des pompes à vis envisagées selon la présente invent ion. 2 ~ 3 ~ 4 ROTATlVE SCREW PUMP, MOT ~ -PC) MPE;
CONTAINER AND MACHINE EQUIPPED WITH A UNI PUMP
The present invention relates to rota ~ ives screw pumps.
Screw pumps are widely known and used, in particular to pump hydraulic fluid. Also, I document GB-Cl 494 091 describes a rotary screw pump, comprising a tubular body, a screw (2) endless rotatably mounted in said body, around the axis of the part tubular, said body communicating on the upstream side with an opening suction of a liquid, and on the downstream side with a discharge opening liquid pornped in a room. This opening for the expulsion of a liquid vein has an internal cross section adapted to the outer cross section of the downstream end of the screw, free play functional near necessary for the rotation of the latter in the opening of repression.
The invention is concerned with the use of such pumps in the washing sector, in particular industrial washing of linen or dishes, it being understood that the same invention cannot be limited to a such domain, as for its application, its range, and its interpretation.
In the area of industrial dishwashing, for example, it is usual to dose and introduce a product into the washing tub liquid detergent, depending on the electrical conductivity of the washing, and therefore its detergent needs; in this regard we refer to i ~ document US-C-3 214 643. For such a chain of custody detergency of the bath, the screw pumps appear a priori well suited to dispense the detergent.
But in practice, and in the field considered, screw pumps demonstrate the following limitations:
- primarily, their boot time, that is to say the time elapsing between the moment when the pump is started and the moment when the pump pushes back its nominal flow rate, remains relatively large; by example, for a screw with a diameter of 18 mm, a pitch of 5 mm, and a rotation speed of 5000 revolutions per minute, the priming time is at least 30 seconds, for a suction height of 1 m.
- on a secondary basis, and all other things being equal, the debit nominal of such pumps remains relatively low; for example, with the same operating parameters as those defined above, the flow nominal cannot exceed 8 liters per hour.
203 ~ 84 These Iirnites are an obstacle to the implementation of such pumps in automatic bath detergency control systems washing. Indeed, the effectiveness of these systems requires the introduction fast, not to say almost instantaneous, flow of detergent product 5 relatively important or sufficient, depending on the measurement of a probe or a sensor placed in the washing bath.
The object of the present invention is therefore to adapt pumps to with regard to the constraints set out above, particularly in the context industry machinery or equipmentJ.
In accordance with the present invention, it has been discovered that this adaptation could be obtained, by having a means of vortex ~ nent around the axis of the tubular part of the pump body, outside of said part, said means being intended to be immersed in a bath, by example of a bleach bath. And this means of whirling is in additionally arranged or arranged, to take up and vacuum, under the effect of the vortex generated in the bath, the Jiquid vein expelled by the screw in the opening of refouJJage, with or without the addition of guiding means complementary to the liquid vein of the screw towards Jedit means of vortex Jonnernent.
In practice, two solutions are used according to the present invention, to realize and obtain such a means of swirling:
- either the means of swirling consists of an extension of the worm screw, through the discharge opening of the pump;
to do this, on the one hand, the screw protrudes from the body of the pump, through the opening of discharge, and on the other hand, at least one thread of the screw is continuous of its upstream end, located inside the body, at its downstream end, located outside the body - either the means of swirling consists of an impeller or with jets, of the turbine type, arranged coaxially with the worm, outlet of the discharge screw; and possibly a flared viroJe towards the front of the screw is arranged perpendicular to the axis of the part tubular of the pump in the discharge opening, at the downstream end of the screw, in continuity with the thread of the latter, to guide the vein liquid at the exit of the screw and obtain axially a liquid vein expelled cylindrical.
By an adequate experimental protocol, we have indeed shown that the addition of a whirlpool means according to the invention improved 2 ~ 3 ~ 8 ~
significantly, and the priming time, and the nominal flow of screw pumps, which then make Jes well suited for integration into a detergency control system for a washing bath.
To date, there is no proven technical explanation for 5 the improvement noted. You might think that the way of swirling protruding from the pump body, and therefore immersed in the washing, when it turns in the latter, causes at the opening discharge pressure, adding to suction and discharge of the screw contained in the body, and thereby increasing the delivery rate.
That said, the present invention appor ~ te unexpectedly key a decisive advantage, relating to priming the pump. It results from previous observations that the pumping of the detergent liquid is not correct, in terms of flow, that thanks to the low pressure effect acco-npli within the bath, by means of swirl at the outlet of the opening of ref oulem ent.
Under these conditions, the flow of detergent liquid is under the dependence on the presence or absence of liquid in the bath, and the invention provides an automatic means of priming the pump, if liquid is present in the discharge opening, and disarming, if no liquid is present in this opening. There is a way to control of the detergent liquid, depending on the level of a washing bath, quite interesting.
The present invention is now described with reference to attached drawings, each schematically showing a machine industrial washing, for example dishwashing equipment, this representation being limited to the container or bleach tank, equipped of a motor pump according to the invention. More specifically: ¦
- Figure 1 shows a first embodiment of 1 invent ion - Figure 2 shows a second embodiment of the invention.
As regards the rotary screw pump according to the invention, this last includes a body I made of a plastic material resistant to corrosion, especially that caused by detergents, while presenting good mechanical properties, in particular with respect to impact thermal connections in operation. In one piece, this body comprises, from left to right of Figure 1, a tubular part ..
2 ~ 3 ~ 9 ~
there, the outer filcted llent, determining at its open end a discharge opening 5, a flange Ib of outer diameter more important, determining a suction chamber 36 of relatively large volume important, and into which opens a radial tube forming an opening 4 suction of the detergent liquid to be pumped, and finally a cylindrical part lc incorporating the electric motor 10 driving the pump. The parts la, lb and lc previously described are aligned so coaxial. If necessary, parts la, lb or 1c can be parts separate, and be joined together to form the body 1.
A worm screw 2, including a single helical thread 2b, is mounted at rotation in the body 1, and more precisely in the tubular part 1a, around axis 3 of the latter. This screw extends along axis 3, of a upstream end 2c, located inside the body 2, downstream of the chamber suction 16, at a downstream end 2d, located in the opening 5 of repression. The thread 2b of the screw 2, with constant pitch, develops from continuously from the upstream end 2c to the downstream end 2d of said screw.
According to the invention, the discharge opening 5 has a interior cross section adapted to exterior cross section, overall, from the downstream end 2d of the screw, to the nearest functional clearance. A
ferrule flared upstream of the screw 2, of conical shape, is arranged substantially in a plane perpendicular to the axis 3 of the tubular part laire la, in the discharge opening 5, at the downstream end 2d of the screw 2, and this in continuity with the net of the latter, as shown by Figure 1. A paddle wheel 51 is mounted or integral, coaxially in the circular downstream opening 50a of the flared ferrule 50. This wheel 51, having vanes or fins 52 is arranged around the axis 3 of the tubular part la, outside of the latter, and at the outlet of the discharge opening 5. The screw 2, the ferrule 50 and the impeller 51 with blades are thus integral coxially in rotation, and form a single and same coaxial assembly.
In this way, as already said, the peripheral liquid vein expelled through the discharge opening 5, has a cylindrical shape or tubular, at the outlet of the downstream opening 50a of the ferrule 50. Then this cylindrical vein is taken up by the impeller 51 with blades 52.
The impeller 51 or paddle wheel 51 has an axial passage 51a, in the extension of the downstream opening 50a of the flared ferrule 50, allowing . -. -:

The introduction of the cylindrical Jiquid vein expelled by said ferrule.
Each blade 52 key rouc 51 extends radially ~ nt, from one end internal 52a, located in the axial extension of the circular opening downstream 50a from the ferrule 50, at an external end 52b located in the 5 axial extension of the tubular wall la.
An outer socket 6 is mounted on the body 2, and more precisely has an internal thread ~ e cooperating with the thread outside of the tubular part 1a. Any other mounting method, for example example by hard fitting, of the socket 6 on the body 2 can be 10 considered. This socket has a base 6b, an additional sleeve 6c small diameter, in shape covering the impeller 51 with blades, having two opposite passages 6d right through to ensure the passage of the bath washing, and a transverse flange 6a, arranged perpendicular to the axis 3 and connecting two opposite edges of the sleeve 6c.
The coaxial assembly comprising the screw 2, the ferrule 50 and the wheel 51 is locked in rotation on a metallic motor shaft, consisting of a rod 7, whose outer end 7b is journalled on the flange 6a. The tree motor 7 thus obtained is arranged coaxially with screw 2, with ferrule 50 and to the wheel 51, and extends from an inner end 7a located on the side of The suction opening 4, at an outer end 7b, located outside of the discharge opening 5, that is to say outside the part tubular. The outer end 7b of the motor shaft is journalled on the outer sleeve 6, in a bearing 6d arranged coaxially in the flange 6a. In a manner known per se, the driving shaft constituted by the rod metallic 7 electrode shape, thanks to the submerged outer end 7b in the washing bath, the other electrode being constituted by the mass 14 of the washing tub 13.
The electric motor 10 for driving the screw 2 in rotation, by the drive shaft 7, is disposed completely in the cylindrical part lc of the body 1. Its output shaft is coupled in rotation, by means not shown, to the drive shaft 7, and therefore to the coaxial assembly comprising the worm 2, the ferrule 50 and the wheel 51 with fins. A seal 12 annular seal between the output shaft of the motor 10, and the body 1.
A perforation 14a is provided in the wall 14 of the container at washing tub 13. This perforation allows the sealed passage of the body 1, and more precisely of the tubular part 1a. Perforation 20369 ~ 4 14a, the wall 14 is clamped between the part lb of the body I and the socket outer 6, thanks to the threads described between the bush 6 and the part tubular. The same is true for seal 1 (, O-ring seal inside, clamped between the base 6b and the wall 14, and for the two seals dishes 15 of external sealing, clamped between the part Ib of the body 1 and the wall 1 4.
Any other mode of fitting or tight passage of the body I
in the wall 14 of the tank 13 can be envisaged, for example with a seal at conical bearing, can only be extracted later by destruction of said joint.
To complete the bath detergency control system wash 13, on the one hand the suction opening 4 cornmunique with a reserve 17 of the detergent product, and on the other hand the electric motor is powered by wires 18 sealingly passing the lc part of the body 1.
Thanks to the pump described above, and with the same technical parameters as those described in example in the preamble to the description according to the invention, then it is possible to obtain a te nps priming less than 3 seconds, with a nominal flow of the order of 60 liters per hour, and a suction height of 1.50 m, with a speed 5000 rpm. D! After this example, we can see an improvement substantial, and priming time and flow rate of the screw pumps envisaged according to the present invention.
In accordance with Figure 2, the common digital references with those of FIG. 1 designate identical parts or components, or having the same functions, and whose description will therefore not be not taken over completely.
Conform ~ to Figure 2, the worm 2, comprising a single helical thread 2b, is rotatably mounted in the body 1, and more specify in the tubular part la, around the axis 3 of the latter.
This screw extends along the axis 3, from an upstream end 2c, located at inside the body 2, in the suction chamber 16, on the side of the suction opening ~, at a downstream end 2d located outside the tubular part 1a of the body 1, within the washing bath, as described below. The thread 2b of screw 2, with constant pitch, develops in a way continues from the upstream end 2c to the downstream end 2d of said screw. For allow the projection of the screw 2 outside the tubular part la, on ~ 03 ~
a certain length within the washing bath, the opening 5 of discharge has a circular cross section, suitable for passage of screw 2, to the functional clearance required for the rota ~ ion of this last in book 5.
Corl) already told me, this is the extension 2a of the worm 2, to the outside of the tubular part I of the pump body I, which plays the role of swirl means according to the present invention.
The screw 2 is locked in rotation on a metallic motor shaft, consisting of a rod 7, partially hollow and internally threaded 7b, and a screw 8 screwed into the thread 7b, the free head 8a of which forms support shoulder against the downstream end 2d of the screw 2. The motor shaft 7,8 thus obtained is arranged coaxially with the screw 2, and extends from a inner end 7a located on the side of the suction opening 4, at a outer end 8a, situated outside the discharge opening 5, that is to say outside the tubular part 1a. The outer end of the drive shaft, consisting of the screw head 8a, is journalled on the flange 6a of the outer sleeve 6, in the bearing 6d formed coxially. Of in a manner known per se, the motor shaft constituted by the metal rod 7 and the metal screw 8 forms an electrode, thanks to the head 8a of the submerged screw 8 in the washing bath, the other electrode being constituted by the mass 14 of the washing tub 13.
Thanks to the pump described according to figure 2, and with the same technical parameters as those described in example in the preamble to the description, by adding according to the invention a length of 10 mm to the screw 2, outside the tubular body la, then it is possible to get a time 9 second priming, with a nominal flow rate of around 24 liters per hour, and a suction height of one meter. Furthermore, the screw may have a diameter of 17 to 18 mm, with a pitch of 4.5 to 5.5 min. According to this example, we also see a substantial improvement, and time of priming and of the flow rate of the screw pumps envisaged according to the present invent ion.
