Abstract

The industrial design consists of the shape, configuration and ornamentation of an instrument panel for an automobile as shown in the drawings; the left side of the instrument panel presents a wide arched area on the top surface thereof with downwards and outwardly sloped side surfaces and a top surface which slopes downwards to the rear from the front edge of the arched area: the arched area presents a first recessed display area with an enlarged open area beneath the first recessed display area; a narrow generally vertically extending open area extends from the enlarged open area to the bottom of the instrument panel; the instrument panel also presents a second recessed area situated to the right of the first recessed display area; the second recessed area presents generally straight upper and lower inner surfaces and downwardly converging side surfaces; the instrument panel also presents a nose-like projecting area situated below the second recessed area, the nose-like projecting area having forwardly converging side surfaces and a downwardly sloped top surface; the side and top surfaces merge through rounded corner areas into a narrow front surface of the nose-like projecting area; the side surfaces of the nose-like projecting area extend rearwards and merge through smoothly curved areas into the lower front surface of the instrument panel.Representations of the design are shown in the figures wherein:Fig. 1 is a right front perspective view of the design of an instrument panel for an automobile;Fig. 2 is a front elevation view thereof;Fig. 3 is a top plan view thereof;Fig. 4 is a right side elevation view thereof; andFig. 5 is a left side elevation view thereof.The stippled lines In the drawings do not form part of the present design.Diagrams of the design are included.
