Abstract

The industrial design consists of the shape, configuration and ornamentation of an instrument panel for an automobile as shown in the drawings; the most novel and distinctive features of the instrument panel is a left side arched section having a central forwardly projecting area, the arched section presents a top surface which slopes gradually downwards from the front edge to the rear edge thereof; the left side of the instrument panel also presents a wide generally symmetrical open area situated below the arched section which merges into a narrower downwards extending generally U-shaped open area; the instrument panel also presents a central forwardly projecting section having an arched upper surface situated above and aligned with a generally rectangular display area which is situated above and is generally aligned with an open area having slightly outwardly curved upper, lower and side edges and rounded corner areas.
