Abstract

The said industrial design consists of the shape, ornamentation, pattern and configuration of a briefcase which is generally symmetrical about a central laterally extending vertical plane; the briefcase has generally parallel front and rear surfaces, generally parallel end surfaces and generally parallel top and bottom surfaces; the briefcase has rounded corners between the top, bottom and end surfaces;the front surface has a front panel section which extends the width and most of the height of the front surface and projects outwardly a short distance from the front surface; the front panel section has a horizontal upper edge which is situated close to the top surface and has a generally horizontally positioned slide fastener which extends the length of the horizontal upper edge;the top surface of the briefcase has a central curved handle extending upwardly therefrom and a pair of generally identical slide fasteners situated on either side of the curved handle; the slide fasteners extend the length of the top surface, along the end surfaces, and then extend a short distance along the bottom surface to a central generally rectangular bottom surface section; the rear surface has a slightly raised panel portion which extends the width of the rear surface and most of the height thereof, and has a horizontal upper edge which is situated close to the top surface;the end surfaces each have an upper horizontal seam which extends outwardly just beyond the slide fasteners and the curves upwards and outwards to the sides of the end surfaces;each seam has an upwardly and slightly outwardly extending generally triangular element with rounded corners and an enlarged generally cylindrical base portion situated between the slide fasteners.The strap portion of the drawings in stippled lines does not form part of the present design.Representations of the design are shown in the figures wherein:Fig. 1 is a front and right end perspective view of the design of a briefcase in a closed position;Fig. 2 is a top view thereof;Fig. 3 is a front view thereof;Fig. 4 is a left end view thereof;Fig. 5 is a right end view thereof;Fig. 6 is a rear view thereof; andFig. 7 is a bottom view thereof.Diagrams of the design are included.
