Abstract
DISPOSITIVO PIEZOELÉTRICO, E, MÉTODO PARA PRESERVAR A FUNCIONALIDADE DO DISPOSITIVO PIEZOELÉTRICO NA PRESENÇA DE RACHADURAS INDUZIDAS POR TENSÃO São divulgados aparelho e metodologia para minimizar e compensar rachadura em dispositivos piezoelétricos para manter funcionalidade de longo prazo dos dispositivos. A compensação de rachadura é alcançada pela aplicação de eletrodos condutores sólidos por toda a superfície do dispositivo piezoelétrico e pela extensão dos eltrodos além do perímetro do dispositivo piezoelétrico. Desta maneira, conexões elétricas são mantidas mesmo na presença de rachadura. A rachadura do dispositivo piezaelétrico é limitada pela minimização do momento de curvatura no local do dispositivo piezoelétrico por meio da aplicação de materiais de suporte isolantes que podem ter espessura variada.
