ANTECEDENTES DA INVENçãO (1) Campo da Invenção A presente invenção refere-se a um processo para tratamento de uma biomassa lignocelulósica com hidróxido de amónio concentrado e preferencialmente com gás de amónia para aumentar a disponibilidade de carboidratos estruturais (polissacarídeos). é preferencialmente utilizado vapor sob pressão para extrair amónia da biomassa para reciclagem. Em particular, a presente invenção refere-se a um processo que permite uma conversão eficiente dos polissacarídeos em monossacarídeos preferencialmente através de hidrólise enzimática.
