Abstract

LAMINADO RETRORREFLETIVO DE CANTO DE CUBO METALIZADO QUE TEM UM ALTO FATOR DE LUMINáNCIA DIURNA MEDIDO. A presente invenção refere-se a um laminado retrorrefletivo de cantos de cubo metalizado que tem um alto fator de luminância diurno medido e a um seu método de fabricação. O laminado está formado de um material de chapa transparente que inclui sobre um lado uma densa rede de cantos de cubo retrorrefletivos que tem uma altura H. Os cantos de cubo são inclinados de borda mais paralela dentro de aproximadamente 1,5 graus de 10n-9 graus, onde n é o índice de refração dentro dos cantos de cubo, e as faces de canto de cubo são metalizadas pela aplicação de um fino revestimento de metal refletivo. A espessura do material de chapa entre as bases dos cantos de cubo e o lado oposto do laminado está de preferência entre 1,75 H e 4,00 H. O material de chapa retrorrefletivo, metalizado resultante pode ser montado em um veículo para aumentar a sua visibilidade noturna através da capacidade do material de chapa eficientemente retro-refletir um feixe de luz de um farol ou de outra fonte através de uma ampla faixa de ângulo incidentes e de orientação. Vantajosamente, o laminado também reflete pelo menos aproximadamente 3,5% de luz normal e próxima da normal em ângulos dentro de 5<198> de 45<198> de obliquity, vantajosamente fornecendo a este um alto fator de luminância diurna medido conforme requerido pelas normas de transporte.
