Abstract

PROCESSO PARA FABRICAR UM AÇO CARBONO DE ALTA RESISTÊNCIA, DéTIL, RESISTENTE A CORROSçO E AÇO CARBONO LIGADO. É descrita uma liga de aço carbono que apresenta as propriedades combinadas de alta resistência, ductilidade e resistência a corrosão cuja microestrutura contém regiões de ferrita combinadas com regiões de martensita-austenita, com precipitados de carbonetos dispersos nas regiões de ferrita, mas sem precipitados de carbonetos, são quaisquer das interfaces das diferentes fases. A microestrutura assim contém quatro fases distintas: (1) ripas de martensita separados por (2) filmes delgados de austenita retida, mais (3) regiões de ferrita contendo (4) precipitados de carbonetos. Em certas modalidades, a microestrutura contém adicionalmente regiões de ferrita sem carbonetos.
