Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA PREPARAR UM áLCOOL ALCOXILADO, E, USO DE FLUORETO DE HIDROGêNIO E UM COMPOSTO CONTENDO BORO". O processo para preparar um álcool alcoxilado compreendendo reagir um álcool mono-hidróxi de partida selecionado de álcoois secundários, álcoois terciários e misturas destes com um óxido de alquileno na presença de fluoreto de hidrogênio e um composto contendo boro compreendendo pelo menos uma ligação B-O. O álcool pode ser também um álcool mono-hidróxi primário quando o composto contendo boro é ácido bórico ou anidrido de ácido bórico ou uma mistura deste, ou pode ser um álcool mono hidróxi primário, exceto um álcool C~ 14~/C~ 15~ quando reagido com óxido etileno na presença de HF e borato de trimetila. Um fenol pode ser alcoxilado no mesmo modo ao invés do álcool mono-hidróxi.
