Abstract
PLANTAS TRANSGêNICAS RESISTENTES A SAL A presente invenção propõe plantas transgênicas transformadas com ácido nucléico exógeno que codifica uma ATPase de membrana plasmática (PM) de Dunaliella. A planta transgênica tem uma tolerância aumentada para sal em comparação com a planta não transgênica. A presente invenção também propõe ácidos nucléicos que codificam uma PM-ATPase que compreende uma primeira porção que codifica uma PM-ATPase de planta ou um fragmento seu, e uma segunda porção que codifica uma PM-ATPase de Dunaliella ou um fragmento seu. A presente invenção também divulga um método de produção de uma planta transgênica que tem uma tolerância aumentada para sal quando comparada a uma planta não transgênica correspondente, um método de se modificar a capacidade de uma planta sobreviver a choque salino e a um método para se modificar a recuperação da planta depois de exposta a estresse salino, por introdução em uma ou mais células de uma planta de um ácido nucléico exógeno que codifica uma PM-ATPase de Dunaliella. Também são propostas pela presente invenção células de plantas que compreendem um ácido nucléico exógeno que codifica uma PM-ATPase de Dunaliella e sementes e progênie de plantas obtidas das plantas transgênicas.
