Abstract

MéTODO E DISPOSITIVO PARA PROCESSAR CORPOS DE CARBONO CALCINADOS A presente invenção refere-se a um método e dispositivo para processar corpos de carbono calcinados, tais como anodos ou catodos, para uso em conexão com produção eletrolítica de alumínio. Os corpos de carbono são processados usando uma ferramenta de processamento rotativa (1) que consiste de um disco principalmente circular com bordas de cone (12, 12<39>) montado em sua periferia. As bordas de corte podem ser feitas de diamante policristalino (PCE) ou de um material equivalente. Com a presente invenção é possível criar ranhuras em corpos de carbono calcinados de uma maneira eficiente e com baixo desgaste da ferramenta.
