Abstract
HASTE INTRAMEDULAR PARA USO NO TRATAMENTO DE FRATURAS FEMURAIS, APARELHO PARA FIXAçãO INTERNA DE UMA FRATURA, E, MéTODO PARA O TRATAMENTO DE FRATURAS FEMURAIS. Esta invenção diz respeito no geral a dispositivos, sistemas e métodos para fixação interna de fraturas ósseas e, particularmente, a dispositivos de fixação de fratura intramedular, tais como aqueles usados, por exemplo, no tratamento de fraturas de ossos longos. Uma haste IM preferivelmente é provida com múltiplas seções curvas em diferentes pianos, preferivelmente, projetadas para se ajustarem à forma dos ossos longos de um paciente, tanto durante a inserção como na posição final da haste no osso comprido. Além do mais, a sobreposição das partes das seções curvas resulta em uma curvatura coplanar de partes da haste IM que ajuda no processo de inserção, guiando a devida rotação da haste IM à medida que ela é inserida no osso. Estrias espirais que se estendem para baixo da parte distal da haste também ajudam guiar e orientar devidamente a haste em tomo de seu eixo geométrico durante a inserção, de maneira tal que o segmento apropriado da haste curva se ajuste à forma da parte apropriada do osso longo no local apropriado.
