Abstract
LIGAS SéRIES 2000 COM APERFEIçOADO DESEMPENHO DE TOLERáNCIA DE DANO PARA APLICAçõES AEROESPACIAIS. A presente invenção provê uma liga de alumínio de séries 2000 tendo aperfeiçoada tolerância a dano, a liga consistindo essencialmente em cerca de 3,0 - 4,0% em peso de cobre; cerca de 0,4- 1,1% em peso de magnésio; até cerca de 0,8% em peso de prata; até cerca de 1,0% em peso de Zn; até cerca de 0,25% em peso de Zr; até cerca de 0,9% em peso de Mn; até cerca de 0,5% em peso de Fe; e até cerca de 0,5% em peso de Si; o balanço substancialmente alumínio, impurezas incidentais e elementos, o dito cobre e magnésio presentes em uma razão de cerca de 3,6-5 partes de cobre para cerca de 1 parte de magnésio. A liga é apropriada para uso em produtos forjados ou fundidos incluindo aqueles usados em aplicações aeroespaciais, particularmente membros estruturais de folha ou placa, extrusões e forjaduras, e provê uma aperfeiçoada combinação de resistência e tolerância a dano.
