Abstract

POLIPEPTìDEOS, POLINUCLEOTìDEOS, CASSETE DE EXPRESSãO, MéTODO DE AUMENTO DO NìVEL OU DA ATIVIDADE DE POLIPEPTìDEO DE CITOCININA OXIDASE EM PLANTA, MéTODO DE DIMINUIçãO OU ELIMINAçãO DO NìVEL DE POLIPEPTìDEO EM PLANTA, CONSTRUCTOS, MéTODO DE REGULAçãO DA EXPRESSãO DE SEQüêNCIA DE NUCLEOTìDEOS DE INTERESSE E MéTODO DA SUPRESSãO DA ATIVIDADE DA CITOCININA OXIDASE EM PLANTA A presente invenção refere-se a métodos de modulação do desenvolvimento de planta. A presente invenção refere-se ainda a seqüências de polinuclectídeos e seqüências de aminoácidos que codificam polipeptídeos da citocinina oxidase. As referidas seqüências podem ser usadas em uma variedade de métodos, incluindo modulação do desenvolvimento de raiz, modulação do desenvolvimento floral, modulação do desenvolvimento de ramo e/ou folha, modulação do tamanho e/ou peso de semente, modulação da tolerância sob tensão abiótica e modulação da resistência a patógenos. A presente invenção també refere-se a polinucleotideos que compreendem promotores CKX. Os referidos promotores podem ser usados na regulação da expressão de uma seqüência de interesse.Plantas transformadas, células de plantas, tecidos e sementes também são fornecidos de acordo com a presente invenção.
