Abstract
In agriculture, when temperature and humidity deviate from the norm, two things happen, plant growth suffers and flowering disease. The Stoller model for plant growth declares that proper hormone balance is required for optimal growth and performance. When growing conditions deviate from the norm, the hormone balance is altered and plant growth suffers. This invention provides evidence to support this model and to explain the relationship between hormone levels and plant growth. A clear understanding of this relationship will facilitate crop treatments aimed at eliminating these problems. Although climate cannot be controlled, damage caused by environmental stresses can be controlled by manipulating the levels and / or ratio of plant hormones in different plant tissues. By adjusting the levels and / or ratios of hormones, particularly auxin and cytokines in the root tissue, the plant can be helped to overcome or compensate for this environmental stress.
