Abstract

PROCESSO PARA REMOçãO DE IMPUREZAS ORGâNICAS PARA PROCESSOS BAYER Um processo para a remoção de impurezas orgânicas em um licor de processo Bayer no qual processos de oxidação úmida e seca são unidos de uma maneira complementar, tal que a deficiência de cada processo de remoção orgânica individual se torne uma força do processo combinado. Uma corrente de licor rica em compostos orgânicos (10), tal como um licor Bayer gasto, é alimentada a um processo de oxidação úmida (12) para produzir um primeiro licor processado que está esgotado de compostos orgânicos, porém enriquecido com carbonato de sódio e/ou oxalato de sódio. O licor processado pela oxidação úmida é direcionado a um tanque de lixívia (18) imediatamente após um processo de oxidação seca. O processo de oxidação seca é tipicamente um queimador de licor (16). Um componente substancial dos compostos de sódio em uma lama de alimentação para o queimador de licor (16) é reagido para produzir um produto de descarga processado. O produto de descarga processado é direcionado para o tanque de lixívia (18), onde se dissolve no licor processado a partir do processo de oxidação úmida (12). O resultante aumento na força iónica das soluções do tanque de lixívia faz com que o carbonato de sódio e o oxalato de sódio se tornem supersaturados, de maneira que eles precipitam a partir do licor de tanque de lixívia. O carbonato de sódio e/ou oxalato de sódio são separados (20) do licor de tanque de lixívia e reciclados em um tanque de mistura (14) proporcionando a lama de alimentação para o queimador de licor (16). Quando os processo de oxidação úmida e seca são combinados dessa maneira, o sistema combinado é capaz de destruir e causticizar completamente duas vezes a quantidade de TOC como o queimador de licor sozinho.
