Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA ESTIMULAR TECIDO MUSCULAR". O aumento de condução elétrica e contractilidade por estimulação bifásica do tecido muscular. Uma primeira fase de estimulação tem uma polaridade de primeira fase, amplitude e duração. A primeira fase de estimulação que atua como um mecanismo condicionador, é administrada em não mais do que uma amplitude de sub-limite máxima. Uma segunda fase de estimulação tem uma segunda polaridade, amplitude e duração. As duas fases são aplicadas sequencialmente. Contrário ao pensamento atual, a estimulação anódico é aplicada como uma primeira fase de estimulação, seguida por estimulação catódica como a segunda fase de estimulação. Deste modo, a condução do pulso através do músculo é melhorada, junto com um aumento na contractilidade. Além disso, este modo de estimulação bifásica reduz a energia elétrica requerida para elicitar a contração. Além disso, o condicionamento da primeira fase de estimulação diminui o limiar de estimulação por redução da quantidade de corrente elétrica requerida para a segunda fase de estimulação para elicitar a contração. O tecido muscular englobado pela presente invenção inclui músculo esquelético (estriado), músculo cardíaco e músculo liso.
