Abstract

"SAPATA DE FREIO E MONTAGEM DE FREIO" Uma montagem de sapata de freio (1) para um freio a tambor, a montagem de sapata de freio sendo uma construção de peça única e que inclui uma sapata de freio (2) de forma genericamente circular tendo duas extremidades separadas e opostas (17, 18), e definindo um par de seções de engaste de revestimento de atrito (11, 12) dispostas sobre lados opostos da sapata de freio (2). As seções de engaste de revestimento (11, 12) têm uma seção transversal em forma de T, que define uma plataforma radialmente externa, arqueada (15), para engaste de um revestimento de atrito (16) e de um tecido que se estende radialmente para dentro (14). A sapata de freio (2) incluindo meios de articulação (27, 28) entre as seções de engaste de revestimento (11, 12), para facilitar o movimento pivotante das seções de engaste de revestimento (11, 12), para alterar a separação entre as extremidades do freio (17, 18), entre uma condição operante do freio na qual em uso o revestimento de atrito (16) acopla uma superfície de frenagem de um tambor na qual a montagem de sapata de freio (1) é ajustada, e uma condição inoperante do freio na qual não há esse acoplamento.
