Abstract
Patente de Invenção: <B>"GLIFOSATO COMO GAMETICIDA"<D>. Glifosato é usado como um gameticida altamente seletivo em plantas contendo em seu genoma uma primeira molécula de DNA que confere tolerância ao glifosato constitutiva e uma segunda molécula de DNA que inibe a dita tolerância ao glifosato especificamente em tecido reprodutor masculino. As plantas contendo as primeira e segundas moléculas de DNA são tornadas masculinas estéreis através de exposição ao glifosato. Os métodos e composições da invenção são vantajosos para uso na geração de semente híbrida, para restringir o cruzamento, a parra prolongar a vida da flor.
