<B>CONJUNTO SUPORTE DE TRILHO DE DESLOCAMENTO E FORQUILHA PARA UMA TRANSMISSãO VEICULAR<D> Um conjunto de trilho de deslocamento e forquilha para uma transmissão inclui um canal de deslocamento com um par de peças laterais que estão conectadas juntas por peças transversais. Uma pluralidade de trilhos de deslocamento são suportados sobre o canal de deslocamento para um relativo movimento deslizante. Uma correspondente pluralidade de forquilhas de deslocamento são suportadas sobre o canal de deslocamento para relativo movimento deslizante. Os trilhos de deslocamento são conectados às forquilhas de deslocamento para movimento concorrente longitudinal. Um cursor transversal está suportado sobre o canal de deslocamento para relativo movimento lateral. O cursor transversal que inclui uma espiga dependente que seletivamente coopera com correspondentes fendas formadas em cada um dos trilhos de deslocamento para movimento concorrente. O cursor transversal pode ser movido lateralmente tal que as espigas seletoras engatem qualquer um dos desejados trilhos de deslocamento. Uma braçadeira de intertravamento também é suportada para movimento lateral relativo ao canal de deslocamento, porém evita o movimento longitudinal. Para iniciar uma operação de deslocamento, uma alavanca de deslocamento é primeiro movida na direção lateral para selecionar um dos trilhos de deslocamento, causando movimento lateral de ambos o cursor transversal e braçadeira de intertravamento. O movimento lateral do cursor lateral faz com que as espigas seletoras providas sobre o mesmo se tornem lateralmente alinhadas com a fenda formada em um dos trilhos de deslocamento selecionados. Ao mesmo tempo, o movimento lateral da braçadeira de intertravamento faz com que porções de braço dependentes providas sobre a mesma se tornem lateralmente alinhadas com fendas formadas em todos os outros trilhos de deslocamento não selecionados. Então, a alavanca de deslocamento é subseq³entemente movida em uma direção longitudinal, fazendo com que o cursor transversal, um dos trilhos de deslocamento selecionados, e o canal de deslocamento sejam movimentados longitudinalmente. A braçadeira de intertravamento evita que os trilhos de deslocamento não selecionados se movam lateralmente.
