Abstract

SENSOR COMPACTO DE UMIDADE COM COMPONENTES óTICOS EFICIENTES DE ALTA INCLINAçãO Sensor de umidade compacto instalado na superfície interna (30) do pára-brisa (18) para a detecção da umidade na superfície externa (32) e controle das palhetas (20) de limpa pára-brisas. Inclui acoplador (24) apresentando colimador (37) e focalizador (42) e compartimento (28) que pode ser destacado revestindo o acoplador. O painel de circuito (26) plano disposto no interior do compartimento (28) inclui emissores (56) e detectores (58) instalados de modo que os eixos de emissão e detecção sejam perpendiculares ao pára-brisa (18) quando o compartimento (28) é preso ao acoplador (24). O colimador (37) e o focalizador (42) apresentam-se dispostos adjacentes ao emissor (56) e detector (58) de modo que o eixo ótico do colimador (37) e focalizador (42) formem ângulos oblíquos com respeito aos eixos de emissão e detecção. Dois emissores e dois detectores são utilizados para formarem quatro trajetos óticos de iguais comprimentos e eficiência ótica. Em operação, um feixe luminoso a partir do emissor (56) entra no pára-brisa a um ângulo de quarenta e cinco graus e é refletido de volta da superfície externa (32) do pára-brisa (18) ao detector (59), o que gera um sinal de controle com base na quantidade de luz refletida a partir da superfície externa.
