Abstract

"PROCESSO DE ADSORçãO POR ALTERNâNCIA DE PRESSãO PARA EXTRAIR UM GáS MAIS PREFERIDO DE UMA MISTURA DO CITADO GáS MAIS PREFERIDO E UM GáS MENOS PREFERIDO". Um processo PSA constituindo a invenção é aplicável para a separação de um gás preferido de uma mistura de o gás preferido e um gás menos preferido. O processo PSA utiliza um leito adsorvente que inclui uma ou mais camadas de adsorventes seletivos, por equilíbrio, para O~ 2~, e compreende o citado processo, as etapas de: pressurizar o leito adsorvente para uma pressão elevada com uma alimentação de ar para permitir que o leito adsorvente adsorva O~ 2~; extrair o leito, na pressão do leito, um fluxo de N~ 2~ e armazenar pelo menos um pouco do fluxo em um tanque de produto; dessorver O~ 2~ do leito adsorvente por meio de alimentação de gás da região vazia dentro do recinto do leito para um tanque de armazenagem e abrir o leito adsorvente para uma região de baixa pressão; purgar o leito adsorvente alimentando-o com gás da região vazia proveniente do tanque de armazenagem; e repressurizar o leito adsorvente para uma pressão intermediária com um fluxo de gás da região vazia proveniente do tanque de armazenagem.
