Abstract

ËXIDOS DE CéRIO E ZIRCÈNIO, óXIDOS MISTURADOS E SOLUçõES SóLIDAS TENDO ESTABILIDADE TéRMICA APERFEIçOADA PARA CATáLISE DE SISTEMAS DE GáS DE DESCARGA E MéTODOS DE PRODUçãO óxidos misturados de cério e zircónio bem como soluções sólidas e óxidos de cério são produzidos tendo estabilidade térmica aperfeiçoada. O processo envolve a formação de óxidos de cério e zircónio, óxidos misturados e soluções sólidas por métodos como cotermoidrólise e co-precipitação, seguido por lavagem ou impregnação com um composto alcoxilado tendo mais de (2) átomos de carbono. Após a etapa de lavagem ou impregnação, a mistura é calcinada para formar óxidos tendo capacidade de armazenagem de oxigênio e área superficial muito elevadas. A estabilidade térmica aperfeiçoada dos óxidos torna os mesmos vantajosos para uso em aplicações como conversores catalíticos.
