Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the oxidizing catalyst having high activity at a relatively low temp. and long life by adding an alkaline earth element to BaO and TiO2 which are the carrier of said oxidizing catalyst in a specific ratio.
CONSTITUTION: As the carrier used in a perfect oxidizing type catalyst for an environmental pollution gas such as aldehyde or toluene, one prepared by adding 0.1W0.4g atom per 100mol of BaO and TiO2 of an alkaline earth metal such as aluminum or cerium to a BaO-TiO2 type carrier is used and a metal such as platinum or copper or a metal oxide thereof is supported thereto. The obtained oxidizing catalyst has enhanced catalytic activity and life.
